Which is more likely. UK gets beat in the round of 32 or makes the Final Four?

If the question were Rd of 32 or Elite Eight, it would be a coin flip for me. I have them losing in the Sweet 16 to average out the difference.

I do think there's no chance they make the Final Four. The defense won't allow that.

I could see either happening but I think it's closer to round of 32. It also could be the Charlie Brown complex this team has given me that makes me feel this way.

Bilas just answered that. He said we will beat Oakland. Then we will beat TT. Said that TT is really good defensively but we are much better offensively than them. After that he said we play Marquette. He said the key is if Kolek is totally healthy for Marquette then they will beat us. If he isn't we win. If we win against them says we will play Houston. And their defense and rebounding will be too much for us.

He really went out on a limb with that take.

If you had asked round of 32 or Sweet 16 it's close but maybe I would lean Sweet 16. If you said Elite 8 then the odds are bad but at least I could entertain the idea. Final Four? Nah. I'd say we are more likely to lose in the opening game than make a Final Four.

Round of 32. This team plays to the level of their competition, which makes them ripe to get clipped earlier in the tournament than they should - especially to a team in that 6/7/10 seed range that is an average power 5 program that has some talent, beat some decent teams, but disappointed overall.

A lot of things need to happen to make a Final 4. For us, just beat Oakland as we should. Then a decent hard-fought game to beat TT or NC ST. Then we'll need to have a great game against Marquette (or whoever). And then, perhaps the biggest thing we need, is for someone else to knock off Houston early to open up our chances to get one more win.

However, I would take lose in the first weekend just simply by not playing defense if betting.

I actually feel like we will either lose in the 2nd round OR make the final four with no in between lol. We show out in the biggest games, but also have a tendency to play down to our competition. If we make it to the Sweet 16 I think we roll to the final four

You know how in The Avengers Loki says "I have an army" and Tony says "We have a hulk."?

Whatever the other team has, we have a Dilly. Buckle up.

FWIW: Vegas has us favored to make the Sweet 16. I think we will.

It's more likely every team loses in the 2nd round than makes the Final 4.

I'm probably more worried about the TTU/NCState game than the Sweet 16 game.

Marquette is shaky to me even with Kolek healthy, who probably won't be 100% for the ROS.
Florida is solid, but they did just lose a very important big man.

And I'm not entirely convinced either gets by their opening game. I'm picking Marquette to lose in a few underdog brackets.

And even then, that game is a week away, and this is a Kentucky team that just gets better and better as the season goes on. We'd have another week of practice, shoring things up, etc.

No damn clue. That’s why this season has been both miserable and super fun at the same time. Going to enjoy the ride and hope for the best from here on out.
