Which assistant coaches will not be back next season ?

Mike Stoops, Boulware, and Wolford!

I was immediately opposed to him hiring his brother. The only way i was ok with it was if be was a atop gap. Clearly it was a landing spot.

I know he had a resume but that doesn't count when you were fired everywhere. Long, long drop off from summrall.

Stoops spoke yesterday about the importance of continuity so don't look for mass replacements. Do think Boulware's contract may be up so there's one.

I think Mike Stoops position played pretty good.

What about elevating Drake Jackson to o line coach. Very mature smart young man

I understand there’s been no continuity on offense, but how on earth do you bring Bush back? 114th in total offense and 119th in scoring offense. It’s a total disgrace to hitch your wagon again to that.

Hopefully the whole damned bunch

It's gotta be Stoops because he was awesome at Boise State:
Boise State's offense in the 2023 season was strong, with the Broncos ranking highly in several categories:

  • Scoring
Boise State averaged 41.2 points per game, which was the third-highest in the country. This was the most points per game since 2011.

  • Total offense
Boise State ranked fifth in the country in total offense, averaging 479.5 yards per game.

  • Rushing offense
Boise State ranked fifth in the country in rushing offense, averaging 252.0 yards per game.

  • 3rd down conversions
Boise State ranked seventh in the FBS in 3rd down conversions, averaging 49.6%.

  • Red zone offense
Boise State ranked 10th in red zone offense.

Problem with hiring family is it creates issues with rest of staff . They cannot be honest on their evaluations . I know a very competent VP of a large company who years ago wrote a true evaluation of the president of her company’s sister in law who caused all types of internal problems . She was incompetent and disliked because of that by about everyone else . The VP almost got fired for writing a true evaluation.
Other employees don’t mess with family and many times that causes problems . I have no idea if that is true here but it’s not a good idea to hire family in a public institution which this is.
