We only have like 8 or 9 scholarship players going into next season. Other than Murray, is there even anyone else with a pulse that we can go after? Sounds like that Udozka kid or however it's spelled isn't even really considering Kentucky, haven't heard UK in connection with Sterling Gibbs..

The only real impact player left is Murray and who knows if he will even reclassify.It seems this is it and we better pray we don't have an injury.
we got pros in LEE , Poy , Skal , Ulis , Briscoe and eventually Matthews.Mulder looks to good as well. Hawkins and Willis are good role players. WE are a top 5 team . If we added someone we could be better but i am going to assume we go as we are and if we end up adding anyone i will be thrilled.
It's weird, if someone had told me in March that UK would not have any of Booker, Johnson, either twin, Newman, Diallo, Zimmerman, Swanigan, Brown, or Ingram on its roster next year, I would have probably laughed at them.
I'm not sure where Hawkins fit in, but if Willis can work hard as Lee is doing right now, 6-9 points a game isn't out of the question. Willis has to make the commitment, it is his time.
Without a doubt Saul. In fairness that's because we've never seen anything like this. I can't wait to find out more about the whole situation. At least hear some thoughts from some people who are connected inside the business. Should be an interesting few weeks.
I really thought when those 7 left for the NBA recruits would be excited to come here.It's just baffling to me that Mulder might be all we get.This was just a weird class and I'll never understand how we didn't get one of them.
IMO, there has to be some serious negative recruiting going on. Just no way Cal strikes out on that many guys with as much PT as they want unless there was something going around.
I'm the last one to believe in conspiracy theories but one has to think negative recruiting played a part.
But this isn't the full story. Even though UK could be a top 5 team next year, does it really mean there is a vast disparity between the upper-echelon teams and the rest of the pack? That was the case last year with Duke, UK, 'Zona, and Wisconsin showing real separation. I don't think that's the case next year.
Look at it this way, next season there will be more of a plateau in college ball rather than a true mountain top to climb with four legit teams at the top and everyone else looking upward. Last season, there was really only four or five teams with a real shot of taking UK down in the tournament. Next year, there will be dozens. The element that could propel UK into the top 5 in November or December - parity - could just as easily bite them in the tournament.
For example, you don't think shoes had a role to play here? Cal is a Nike School. Nike is a shoe company, but guess who else is? Yep, Adidas.

At least we've got some upperclassman, an extremely elite upperclassman lockdown defender in poythress, an incredible guard and floor general in ulis, a helluva shooter in Mulder, and the number one player in the class and potential Anthony Davis clone in Skal. As of right now, Im excited about them.
If there was really a "creeper alert" function on this website, it would be going off incessantly. I'd estimate that half the guys still on this message board have at least one other window open to something raunchy right now.
My one last hope is Murray. But call me whatever you want, I like our roster next year regardless. If it were a normal year in college basketball next season, as far as talent, then we would have a sweet sixteen squad tops. But I don't see a lot of great teams next season, not as much talent on squads. Kentucky can make a run with who we have IMO.
