Where Does Boley Fit into all this….

Yep I think Boley transfers out. I think Stoops showed his hand to Boley last year and if something else comes open, boley would be stupid not to take it and run.

Stoops showed his hand. That hand was that Boley got real game snaps and still retained his RS. Someone is going to have to explain to us how a true frosh QB would have a problem with that.

I liked what I saw. He did not lose a year of eligibility as well. I know a new QB is coming in for one year so does that mean they are giving up on Boley. The bottom line is that I do not care who the QB is,, without a good OL and a decent offensive scheme, we are going nowhere.
I find this an odd question. Our true freshman QB had an up and down season when he got a few opportunities(as to be expected) and the coaching staff brough a Sr QB in for one year to give Boley another year to develop without the pressure of being the starter before he is ready and that leads you to ponder if they are giving up on him? I'd love to see your logic trail.

We appear to be in for a two or maybe 3 way battle for the QB job. The real question is no matter who is back there can we upgrade protection enough that it will make any difference.

Our offensive line was so bad that it ran BV out of football altogether, that is beyond sad. I know some will say that is not the case or it isn't that simple but at the end of the day(or season if you will) he was so beat up that walking away was his best option.
Not a chance. Clazada is the starter and Boley the #2, sans injury.

I believe Boley's fate is in his own hands. If he works hard over the summer, builds his body, and studies the game then there is a good possibility that he competes for starter.

Then again, Stoops is the coach who wtf knows what will happen. Maybe we will just start a running back at quarterback and run the option. idk.
He will compete for a starting position like Joey Gatewood did against Will Levis.

Stoops doesn't have the patience or the know how to develop a QB from a freshmen. It's the biggest of many reasons why he hasn't gotten us to the next level and never will.
Stoops has about as close to zero input on the QB's development as a coach could have.

A lot of guesses in this thread. People like to guess. No one knows. Cutter has the off season to get stronger and to study, with film of the good and the bad. He will likely be right in the mix in spring. Out of spring, he will have a better feel for what his role will be next year. Give Calzada credit. He will have to compete. I am thankful for his arrival. Boley was thrown in as a true frosh. Not many can excel in that situation. Even highly recruited players surrounded by Georgia talent struggle under that pressure.

In the world of guessing, I suspect I, and most, would guess our recent transfer will be our starter next season. The overwhelming odds suggest as much. But, we will know more after spring. I doubt Boley will be the same QB after spring and certainly not in the fall.

Stay tuned.
A lot of guesses from people who show few signs of football knowledge. I read some of these posts and it seems like basketball comments on the football board.
