When's the last time there were nine SEC teams in the top 25?

10 SEC teams (add Texas) in the top 28, and 3 more (UGA, Vandy, LSU) getting votes in either the media or coaches poll.
So only Missouri, SC, and Oklahoma are not getting votes.

Has it ever happened before?

#4. Auburn
#7. Tennessee
#8. Kentucky
#9. Alabama
#18. Florida
#19. Arkansas
#20. Texas A&M
#23. Ole Miss
#25. Mississippi State
None that I recall, plus Georgia and Vandy are good as well. I think if we make it thru that grinder with 3-4 losses we will contend for the title and a high seed. Not gonna be many easy wins this year.

Even the lower level teams are good.

The thing with the SEC is, everyone seems to be playing tough OOC games, so these rankings are earned.

I can't recall who it was last year, maybe Brad Brownell, who accused the BIG12 of gaming the system to appear to be a better looking conference. He very well may be right.
