Haven't heard much chatter on him lately. Last I heard was that LSU had a good shot but Houston had come on strong and Arkansas was still in the mix too (think this was all before his visit there).
LSU is my guess. Would be another huge recruiting loss for Calipari. I'm hoping he stays in the bayou state.
Yeah I'm fine if it's anyone but Arkansas. Been zero buzz or chatter for us so just assume it's Wilson or bust for us. Probably not the case but part of me has wondered if Wilson was waiting on this decision until he makes his.
There's been chatter, just not on our end. Its either Houston or LSU and I'll go with Houston.
If Cal strikes out on him then he’s in a little trouble, kinda sucks because he will be forced to recruit the portal. They have their back court but I’d prefer they be stacked with all Freshman so he doesn’t do the right thing and get some Veterans in the mix.
I wish there was a bradshaw type freshmen they could have gotten , glad its not Cenac because Cenac would be legit as a college center. Also glad they cant get Wilson because he's a legit college 4. but at least they'll have a really good back court plus Richmond III though I doubt he'll be able to shoot next year either . It will be interesting to see if chicken man , Jones, and walmart kids will open the check book every year for Cal if this year doesnt turn out like they planned.
Yeah Wilson and Cenac both look legit, Bradshaw looked good in High School too. He seemed to be kinda getting it this year before whatever happened has got him out now. He had like 16/8 the other night but it wasn’t a major team I don’t think.
That will be interesting because he definitely isn’t ready for the pros and the 2 freshmen coming in will want huge minutes. We all know Cal prefers DJ over anyone but will he slide him aside for his new gems?
I could be wrong but think I’ve already seen them mentioned with ‘26 but presumable reclass to ‘25 Miikka Muurinen. With these schools(including us) that have big NIL, there’s always someone else waiting; whether it’s a highly ranked freshmen or some heralded transfer is really the only question.
I havent heard anything on Cenac front from us so i gotta beleive its Wilson or bust for the fresh class. If for some odd reason we dont get Wilson i bet Pope gets a similiar player to Carr next year in the transfer portal. A guy with 3 years under his belt about 6-10 240 who shoots over 35% from 3.
this is a guy that I would like to see @ UK, a big that can shoot and handle the ball
