When coach says"I can fix this..."

The bottom line for me is, if I could hand Stoops the most talented team in the country, I think he'd find a way to lose 2-4 games with it. I don't trust that fixing NIL is the answer to make all things better with Stoops. He's not going to change who he is as a coach, which is a conservative, defensive, run the ball, control the clock coach. He's never going to have more than an average passing attack no matter who the OCs, QBs, WRs or TEs are.

He also no longer has the benefit of playing in a weak SEC East. UGA has been a beast, UT is back near the top again, Florida is getting better, USCjr and Mizzou have passed UK, hell, even Vandy is better. Anyone that thinks Stoops will do better than 7-5 going forward even with a pretty talented roster is kidding themselves. It makes me sick that we are stuck with this guy. Thanks Mitch!

i listened to his post game show. he was talking about how Louisville was doing things so much better in year two of Brohm and all. Your'e in year 12 Stoops, what's your excuse?

He also talked about how some teams were able to turn things around quickly within a year. Talked about IU and South Carolina among some others. Put your money where your mouth is Stoops and guarantee us an improvement to 8 wins and a bowl next year or you will step down.

Heres the problem with that . . . we started hearing that mid year after each bad loss and the week following each one we saw mini test runs of that process as they had a week each time to get ready for the next one and FIX what was wrong each dang time and nothign changed, no answers.

Why after 6 or 7 failed test runs would we believe and off season would be any different???

This is a man desperately trying to get one more year and $9 mil out of UK.😐

You are living in fantasy land if you think 7-5 is remotely possible in the foreseeable future with Barney and Stoops in control.

What an absolute joke been in the program since 2013 now we’re going on 2025 and you have to fix the program….. You make 9million a year it shouldn’t be to the point of you having to fix it. He’s an absolute joke and let’s hope like heck there is some team out there that really wants him….

We will be favored in three games next season . And given the roster turnover it is entirely possible that we only win those three games (Eastern Mich, Tenn Tech, and Toledo) . So we end the season 3-9 or perhaps 4-8 or even 5-7. What then?

I actually think this is his last year coming up, he has the money to get a good group of linemen on both sides of the ball. If, he does win 8 games, people will complain and still want him gone.

Barnhart is not the issue here- people may not like the contract, but its just like the NIL, its the price of doing business. It not near as simple as people make it out to be. When it comes to attracting and keeping good coaches and getting rid of them when they don't work out.

He's the 9th highest paid coach in college football and has finished a season ranked only a few times. The fans at Texas A&M threw a fit when they thought he was coming there. That says a lot and yes he is way over paid for the results.
