More portal losses

Thought Stewart would've been counted on to start next year. Guess not or he doesn't want to get his brains beat in again at UK. Silver is also a surprise as he played plenty. Players know next year could be a steaming pile and they want no part of it.
I saw something about afari possibly leaving as well
If Barney stands by and watches this burn to the ground he should be fired
People complained all year Silver wasn't active enough and many complaints about poor Safety play so Silver enters portal as does a Safety and we bitch about that. Old Army saying: "Never can satisfy a GI." Nor a UK football fan.
No surprise, I mean why would these guys or anybody want to be at UK when their own head coach doesn't want to be

Silver is another player who was better when he got here than when he left. Please replace Anwar Stewart.
Is Silver really even a big loss? We got killed up the middle almost every game this year.
That would suck. He showed some flashes this year on a mostly disappointing defense.
It was more so the coaches who lost those games than it was the players.
I’m surprised a little about Silver, I thought he was happy here playing a lot. I was always waiting for him to step up a little more as big as he was, but if he wants to leave, he can hit the road fast. We want people who want to play here, not just for NIL money. If that’s why he’s leaving, the next team he plays for needs to watch some film before they pay him a lot.
Stoops said Monday and Tuesday they would meet with every player they want to stay and try and secure them so they know what to go after in the portal. Then they will meet with every player they want to leave. Talked like he expects a lot of players will leave. Seemed to insinuate about 25% or 30% of the team would be gone with the ones they want to go and the ones they don't want to go.
Stoops needs to leave what a joke everyone is exiting the TITANIC…..
And we’ll probably replace them with players from schools that lost to E. Michigan, Ohio, and Southern Miss

Not sure I like losing Stewart but Silver going is okay by me. He had mad playing time and has almost nothing to show for it.
I do have to wonder how many of these portal moves are by choice and how many are being told to get out of dodge. Can't believe it feels like UK is starting all over in Stoops 12th year.

I understand and can appreciate the attraction of the portal and NIL$$$, but can we discontinue all the talk about being dedicated to the State, Program, Team and the name on the front of the jersey ?? It's just not a reality for the vast landscape of athletes. This holds true for basketball, as well as football, right here at Kentucky ... just like every other program in the country.

I think some are going to overreact to every player that leaves. Folks, it’s the portal era. This is the norm. Yeah we sucked and yeah Stoops sucked, But this is happening at every university.

This. Our o line and d line coaches suck. Neither should be brought back.
Some guys will be asked to leave ..guys that heavily contribute to a culture they’re trying to change . Not saying that’s what is happening here with these guys .
Yea it’s gonna be tough replacing his production. In 12 games he had 26 tackles. That’s Dominance at 2.16 a game. We are doomed. The other dude recorded absolutely zero stats. Some of you HenniePennies need to step down.

At the very least, the production of these two isn’t impossible to replace in the portal. Maybe you end up with a slight upgrade

But starting every game and performing every game are MILES apart here.
They never seem to tell you WHY they enter the portal, even though they always seem to thank everybody. I wish they would provide specific reasons …

Anwar Stewart is an awful d line coach. Our d line keeps getting worse. This is gonna be some kind of shit show. Thanks Mitch.
I'm hearing multiple reports that there is definitely a culture problem with the program. Star players not even trying in practice and coaches being told to leave them alone. I guess that's why some of them take off dozens of plays a game. Some of them having some major NFL money on the line and still don't seem to care.
