Wheeler being Wheeler

Dude, no. Wagner’s stuff is largely mental although his shot is functionally broken. Wagner doesn’t look like a stiff bowling ball with carrots for appendages. He doesn’t have to put his whole ass into a shot to get it to the rim. He’s just pressing. I’d take Wagner back for another year if he was so inclined. Wagner got messed up in the head by Dillingham’s shot getting so much better immediately and by Sheppard doing 95% of everything right almost immediately. And then by falling behind in the flow of the team by the injury (or whatever happened behind the scenes for Cal to bench him for a bit).
Wagner’s bag is small. It worked against high schoolers. How someone has played basketball their whole life and not developed a fundamentally sound jumpshot is mind boggling.

Exactly! When he was playing well, he got more time on the court. Isn't that what most fans want the coach to do, play the player who is playing well? It is interesting to see a similar pattern at WKU. He has good games and gets more PT and bad games and gets less PT.

Lol

I was the furthest thing from being a fan of his game but dang, can we move on and let the kid live his life?

Cal ran us into the ground with Wheeler and Brooks. Cal loves him some 5 star, and/or whatever his first thoughts of someone's game are. Remember, Wheeler beat us at Georgia. He will run that shit into the ground before he changes it. Literaly gave Wheeler the option to sit out after Cal took his starting spot. And some people really believe Cal is here to win. The same dude that used to trash Dontaie Allen in the post-game pressers after he played great, because he was Cal's last option. Don't ever forget that all of this shit happened.

You can't play favorites, and run an elite program at Kentucky. We can't hide you either, Cal.
Oh cool a Dontaie Allen mention. At least it's appropriately in a thread about not being good enough to play here.

Let's talk Cal playing CJ Fredrick way too much as well please.

Yeah, he did pretty well when he was given minutes as a Freshman. With that said, I was fine with him not playing as a Sophomore. The production wasn't the same. If you can't compute that, whatever.

No, I am serious- whoever was the commentators on the Wash game mentioned Cal and said he either held him back or wasn't used properly

Oh I don't doubt it, but no matter who says something that is stupid so many on here will be agreeing. Except maybe something positive about our coaches or strategies then it's just the commentators aren't going to say something bad
