Wheeler being Wheeler

Just watching the very NOT entertaining UCLA - Washington matchup. Wheeler just got called for holding onto the ball for too long while being guarded. His hair looks like a giant, worn-out Blush Brush.
God Cal drove me crazy pushing Wheeler out there too long. Just kinda a Cal thing at this point. Not sure what sweaty weird promises he made to mini me, just glad it's over. I can remember arguing with his defenders. Dude was just never UK starting PG material. Like not even close.

Cal ran us into the ground with Wheeler and Brooks. Cal loves him some 5 star, and/or whatever his first thoughts of someone's game are. Remember, Wheeler beat us at Georgia. He will run that shit into the ground before he changes it. Literaly gave Wheeler the option to sit out after Cal took his starting spot. And some people really believe Cal is here to win. The same dude that used to trash Dontaie Allen in the post-game pressers after he played great, because he was Cal's last option. Don't ever forget that all of this shit happened.

You can't play favorites, and run an elite program at Kentucky. We can't hide you either, Cal.

Wheeler had to be surrounded by great shooters and players in order to be effective. He could drive the ball and he could pass the ball, but he couldn't finish and couldn't make shots.

I figured you were going to to say that he ran into a screen and knocked himself out again.

Who is that in your avatar pic?

YES 💯Cal plays favorites.

I'm trying to see this in my mind, and have no idea.

I never understood the argument that team could make the FF with Wheeler at the helm.

Keion Brooks leads the Pac-12 in scoring.

Wheeler leads the Pac-12 in assists... and turnovers.

Maybe I’m misunderstanding your post, but he wasn’t on that team.

Facts don't matter. People just make up shit to drive an agenda. Sounds just like a friend of mine who blamed Tubby for not recruiting Allen Iverson. You know the guy who was in the NBA what 3 seasons before Tubby was named head coach ? 🤣🤣🤣 I told him it's okay to dislike someone. You don't even have to have a reason. Just don't throw out shit that isn't true, it makes you look like an idiot (and we have plenty on here for sure)

Brooks is a REALLLY good player JUST like he was here . Not sure why people lump him into Wheeler category at all. Brooks was ready2 leave and it was for the best for both but he was a baller here and had some unforgettable games . I think he willbe a guy that stays on an NBA roster for 3-5 years and stacks some chedda

Kinda like the "Tubby Smith could not win without Pitino's players" BS that has pervaded this board for decades. Tubby was 87-15 at UK from 2002 through 2005.

Keion had one ''unforgettable'' game at UK. Would be 9th to 10th off the bench on any other great UK team.

Wheeler is shooting 43% fg and a miserable 24% 3pt land 64% ft 6 assists but 3.4 To a game. There is little value in a guy like that unless you have no ball handler at the other guard and forward position And at 5”9….hes a liability on defense

Brooks on the other hand is 21 pts 7 boards on 49% fg a whopping 39% 3 pt. He finally made the jump in his fifth year as his first season at Washington was the same old Brooks

The problem with Cal is why he ever sniffed Wheeler was bad coaching philosophy…he never had the talent to be a great player. Brooks…he needed to be a role player off bench at UK until his skill level improves…but Brooks and Cal couldn’t be patient

Yeah he hasn’t cut that fro since he left here.

Washington is 15-13 this year, with Keion and Wheeler.

Yeah.
Leading them to the promise land, to be fair I have watched them and they are probably 2 of the best players on the team. Keion definitely is. Just shows they aren’t good enough to lead them anywhere outside a decent win here and there.

I'm not sure Brooks has NBA level tools. He is undersized and lacks ability to be an NBA 3 IMO. Just don't see him making it in the league I'd love to be wrong but that's my two cents.

Pretty much the same small group of turds we are arguing with now over play Rob and Reed and Reeves together more minutes . Slow learners .. prob never learners

Keion was more interested in being an activist than a player at times. I won’t comment for or against his cause, but it’s clear he understood his position here gave him a bit of a pulpit and he intended to use it for what he saw as good. The problem is, you have to be doing the work (mentally and physically) to that earn that position every day and his head was clearly elsewhere. Didn’t help him that his head coach seemed to be encouraging this other focus.

The Wheeler & SS saga made me totally jump off the Cal bandwagon. I bleed blue in spite of him.

Hope we win the Natty and he outcoaches everyone, but I have little faith in him.

Not sure why people lump him in the Wheeler category? This coming from Mr. "Savhir Wheeler is going to be a 2nd Team All-American"?

Do some of you people think we just forget what you posted? We don't.
