Evidently, most people don't understand this. The NCAA is owned and managed by its member schools, which include Kentucky and Kansas. Whatever the NCAA is, it is only what the member schools make of it. When someone says the NCAA is a joke, they are saying Kentucky is a joke. Because the NCAA is entirely run by its member schools, including Kentucky.
They're going back to try to help him. Theu are not accepting Our Saviour New American classes so they're looking for something that will help him. BTW, he doesn't have the core classes to be eligible, there's your answer and I'm not sure how that makes the NCAA a joke.
How do you address the two independent reports that has looked at his records in Mali and OSNA and is verifying that he has met the core class requirements that every other NCAA basketball freshmen have met?
But understand this. When someone says the NCAA is a joke, they are saying Kentucky is a joke. Because the NCAA is entirely run by its member schools, including Kentucky.
Are they the same "independent" consultants who said UNC hadn't cheated?
Again, I am not tutoring today. You are a smart man. I bet that you actually know the answer to that question.
I just want to applaud that someone got this phrase right.![]()
That has to be one of the most misused phrases in the world. Drives me nuts whenever someone says they could care less.
The ncaa is ridiculous in how they are dragging this on.Its been almost 6 months. And still no answer from them.

Care to fill the uninformed, i.e. me, what this means.I have not read a single post after this but I'd guarantee that you haven't posted again in the thread you started.
You used to do this before you got blacklisted before you was outed.

Awwww poor baby, two words , Enes Kanter. The ncaa is ridiculous in how they are dragging this on.Its been almost 6 months. And still no answer from them.
Feel sorry for the player but as for Kansas, HELL NO..........The ncaa is ridiculous in how they are dragging this on.Its been almost 6 months. And still no answer from them.
They are a joke because they are punishing the kid for the decisions of adults around him. No matter how you look at these situations, it is an adult who puts a kid in a bad spot, almost always. So why punish the kid? If he is smart enough to do well on entrance exams who really cares if he's had enough "core" classes. The point of the core classes was to prepare him to be able to perform well in college. So long as you get there without cheating on entrance exams, who cares how you get there. Maybe you go to a terrible school and learn on your own outside the school. The NCAA should worry more about the product and less about the process. They're going back to try to help him. He signed with the wrong school for me to care .The ncaa is ridiculous in how they are dragging this on.Its been almost 6 months. And still no answer from them.
I'm sure cashing those Jayhawk checks ensured they'd be fair and impartial. Are they the same "independent" consultants who said UNC hadn't cheated?
So the NCAA who publishes what core classes kids have to take to be eligible should stop doing that and have no requirements? They should also ignore shady HS's who just push athletes through like OSNA and Prime Prep? They are a joke because they are punishing the kid for the decisions of adults around him. You missed my point. Who put Diallo in a shady high school, who decided which classes to take, how long was he in school here, who screwed up and didn't get him into enough core classes? Since when is a 12-18 year old supposed to be astute enough to be responsible for this themselves? I will ask again, did he perform well enough on the ACT or SAT to be admitted to college and satisfy that requirement? If so, why worry about the classes he took?So the NCAA who publishes what core classes kids have to take to be eligible should stop doing that and have no requirements? Again, that really isn't addressing my concern. Foreign kids are at a particular disadvantage, especially when they don't even speak English which Diallo didn't when he arrived here in February 2012. I'm sure ths has been posted but it gives me even more concerns about the NCAA's handling of Diallo. http://www.kansascity.com/sports/college/big-12/university-of-kansas/article45879010.htmlStrict liability. If something's off with academics, then he's done. Maybe it's an unfortunate situation, but (big news flash) life isn't always fair. Maybe some of these parents and handlers want to do a better job raising their kids? Maybe that's the angle to take here.

No one said life is fair, but in this instance it shouldn't be adversarial, which is how the NCAA is acting.
Every decision regarding athlete eligibility is adversarial by its very nature.Again, that really isn't addressing my concern.
