Who is “you”? Surely not the university nor any of its direct associates. Cal has no play here. That is expressly against the NIL rules This is directly down to whatever entity or entities can pay NIL in Lexington and Oscar and his associates. Completely out of UK’s hands

Cal cannot do NIL deals. That would be pay for play. Again, a collective business or some other 3rd party can pay an athlete for their Mame Image and Likeness, a coach or a school can’t. Yes, NIL is legal, pat for play isn’t. Cal does not have a play here at all without cheating and doing pay for play.

Getting a coach that (a) gives a crap about UK and (b) wants to play exciting basketball, WOULD DO WONDERS. If anyone thinks we've lost out on all of those transfers because of NIL or this super-duper-recruiting class (we'll see!), then they haven't been watching UK basketball for quite awhile. Word does get around in coaching / recruiting circles about what certain teams / coaches are like to play for. Don't kid yourself otherwise.
It is a VERY NEGATIVE indictment on UK basketball when we have SEVEN SCHOLARSHIP PLAYERS. Think about that, folks. I have to listen to this crap from Louisville and UC fans at work.
But a coach doing NIL deals with a player is cheating. It is against rules. It is not a play Cal can make… without cheating.
I don’t want anyone to cheat and I know there isn’t a real fan on here that would want to do anything remotely close to what loserville and UNCheat did.
Well that means you don’t want Cal to give an NIL deal to Tshiebwe as the OP suggested because that’s against the rules.
None of us truly know the ins and outs that go along with NIL privately at these schools. I’ll give you a good example of that. Jordan Addison in football was a star receiver at Pitt at one point. Before he even entered the portal, everyone knew he was going to Southern Cal. It ended up happening with a rumored 3 million dollar NIL deal. It’s understandable that some fans don’t know the rules of NIL because of situations like that right there. Fans are upset because we’ve been in a bad slump so it’s not going to be surprising to see a post begging for Oscar or Reeves back and NIL being mentioned.

It’s sad to think about how many good people have lost their accounts and got banned because they’ve argued with that guy and his several accounts.

We struggle in NIL because we don’t have playing time available. Y’all think quality players want to transfer just to sit the bench? That’s laughable. I’m sure I care about unhinged message board posters incapable of posting about a subject and only interested just attacking other posters. He is currently not eligible to tranfer, it’s an objective fact. I care as much about convincing the rest of the fanbase that the Earth isn’t flat as Indo that Antonio Reeves isn’t eligible to transfer. It’s is what it is, believe what you want.

That being said, I personally believe that Reeves will be back at UK in the fall. That does nothing to explain why Cal hasn't been able to secure several of the other big targets in the portal, but who's splitting hairs?
Just curious, does anyone on here know anything about the Kansas NIL collective? Where's all the money come from with the Kansas NIL to afford these players? I just dont know of any massive businesses, elite alumni (aside from athletes) connected to the school
