I know this weekends game versus Vandy has been announced as a sellout. How many thousand of the sellout crowd should we expect to be represented by BBN?I am thinking and hoping for at least a couple of thousand. Does this sound about right. Should be a tough game but I think and am hopeful for something like an 85-75 UK win.
What say you some of our other BBN fans?

Hopefully BLUE "gets in" & shows up once again, in Nashville.

I grew up just an hour from Nashville, but in KY.

Saw my first UK basketball game in that place -

1984 SEC tournament !
Love it ! I was there too. I will never forget that title game when Charles Barkley sat so dejectedly and wept on the court after they lost. It was an epic struggle. Kenny Sky Walker to the rescue !

I had met Sir Charles ( man, my dad was so connected.... he knew so many players and coaches for ALL the teams) and it was a shock to meet Charles when he actually came up to our hotel room to say hi to us cant remember which year that was though... We were staying in the same hotel the Auburn team was, and when I opened our door, there stood Charles Barkley !

Man, what a memory !

After that game in 84', I found him after that game and hugged him and wished him the best. But I will never forget him sitting there, inconsolable after that game.

I've been to may UK games there and 2-3K UK fans would seem to be about average.

I will be there. My brother was supposed to go with me but he bailed. thankfully my kentucky fan co-worker is going with me now. I live in Nashville area, and go to this game every year for last 10 years lol.

If we lose tomorrow, it might spell trouble for us.

Great chance we lose the following Tuesday @ Tenn, and suddenly our 3-1 start in league play has turned into a 3-4 record heading into February. That would be pretty much a disaster. That's why losing that Alabama game was so costly.

Have to pull this one out on Saturday somehow.

I'd be surprised if there weren't at least 3,000-4,000 UK fans and maybe more. There was a ton of orange in memorial last weekend and I expect the same for blue this weekend.

Great team - should have had a national title

I THINK Turpin set or tied a SEC tournament scoring record in that first round game 42 points?

(Against UGA or Ole Miss)

Awesome you were there too!!

I’m thinking something like
71.4% Vandy fans
28.6% UK fans

Man, I wish that was going to be the case. We just don’t have that many Vandy fans thanks to years of sucking and our school’s love of liberal politics. During Covid, we lost a lot of fans who didn’t want the school politicizing things. Unfortunately, VU is a very political place and we probably lost 10-20% of our fans because of it.

We were required to show proof of vaccination to go to games (I was never going to vaccinate my kids) or we had to go to the doctor and prove we didn’t have Covid. If you hated Fauci like most of America did, Vandy pissed you off. In 2022, VU didn’t let the students even come to the Kentucky game, which drove even more VU fans off (that might have been 23, can’t remember).

Stackhouse, Derek Mason, and ridiculous political policies just totally destroyed our fanbase.

So… and this sucks to say, but I don’t think we will have more than half of the fans in our own gym. We have about 5-6,000 fans left plus students so it will be ugly.

Damn
Didn’t realize it was that dire down there
Look on the bright side though, Vandy will make 15 3s, 25 FTs, and Pat Adams will be in the house.

Well, I’d love to say you suck but you’ve won more games in Kroger field the last 3 years than we have…good luck gonna be an interesting few years for college basketball.

Idk the random poster laughing at you but you are 100% correct that a loss today and a loss at UT would probably eliminate UK from top 4 seed consideration for the sec tournament.

How are they doing the SEC T now?

Bottom 8 play each other Wednesday

Winners of those 4 games play seeds 5-8 Th

Winners of those games play 1-4 on Friday

What a gauntlet.

1,000%. We're in danger of finishing closer to 10th in the league than Top-4. Very really scenario.

Somehow? Am I in the twilight zone? I get that its a road SEC game but there isn't a team in the country that I don't think we could beat on a good night.

Harder now even. You all are clowns. Doom and gloom now but the next win you'll be "fans". We are fine we turned the ball over 16 times. Can't win that way.

Oh and incase you forgot this is a first year coach in a historic SEC year with transfers that didn't know each other 6-7 months ago.

Go panic some more. Yea loses suck but they don't make me act like the world is ending.
