What is the over and under on Duke free throws tonight?

Believe it or not I'm a Kentucky fan. I just don't have excuses ready before a game starts. I thought officiating was equal for both squads. Not saying the refs didn't miss calls but it was called the same for both teams.

You do realize that the ft shooting wasn't THAT close. You choose total number of fouls. but it was still 18 to 23 ft's. Which for the record, NEITHER stat (fouls or FT's) will always paint the picture. We had fans, myself being one, calling that Skal was going to be in foul trouble before the 2nd TV timeout. 11:53 left and he picks up his 2nd I believe? Ha.

You can call it "making excuses", but if we got it right.. well.. we got it right.

It's not possible that Skal actually committed fouls? My bad, you're right. You get more free throws if you make a free throw in a one and one situation so that is irrelevant. Are you 12 years old? If we make more in the one and one we could have possibly shot more free throws... It's pretty simple. For future reference, is every foul called on Skal the refs fault or how does this work? Asking for a friend.

If you know ANYTHING about basketball, you know that the last 2 fouls on Skal were hor$e$hit. But it's obvious you don't know anythinag about basketball so run along and slurp on Duke.

That's looking like that's going to be a regular problem for Skal though. Has it been a factor in past years? Maybe. It's a big stretch to claim it was last night.

There was a HUGE discrepancy (in my mind) in what was allowed in the paint last night. I didn't think the officiating was horrible but it looked to me like Plumlee and Jefferson were allowed to be more physical than Skal and Marcus.

That wasn't so much the fact that we had 18 ft's, nor was it about how 1 and 1's work.. We have a plethora of skilled drivers and post players, not guards that are decent at driving, and weak interior players. If any team is currently designed to live at the FT line, it's Kentucky, not Duke.

Regardless, this was more so about Duke's fouls, the fact that they shot almost 30 ft's a few nights prior.

Don't know what else to say. A lot of us called exactly what was going to happen, and for the most part, it did. I'm thankful the game wasn't too out of hand, and yes, some of those Allen drives would have habitually been enthusiastic fouls by Ayers or some one else, yet they weren't called... but I'm pretty pleased as to the degree I was right on this.

And finally, which I can't stress enough:

THIS HAS NOTHING TO DO WITH KENTUCKY

You don't see Kentucky fans calling out the other team before every single game. WHen we play Kansas in a few months, you won't see any of us say "Oh well, Kansas is going to get the fouls..". No, because we know that that game, like every other game, will be officiated pretty fairly, to the degree that while there will be bad calls, you wouldn't think one team is being protected.

Instead, this is a Duke issue, that EVERY other school has a problem with.. Maryland, NC State, UNC. Go ask those fans. Personally, I know plenty, and they will say the same thing. Everyone dreads playing Duke, because, if you're smart, you know what's coming.
