What is the order of your hated rivals list?

From most hated down, who do you dislike the most? You can even list specific sports if maybe you hate a team in one sport but don't care in another.

For me in basketball it is....
1) UofL
2) Duke
3) IU
4) UNC
4b) Florida (used to be UT but I work with a UF fan and he annoys the crap out of me)
5) UT

For football....
1) UofL
2) Florida
3) UT
I usually will root for any SEC team in the championship game but both those SEC teams I will never root for, with the exception of when Florida played UofL a few years ago.

6. IU- Bob Knight, Clappy the Clown, have fallen so far down that they deserve pity instead of hate
7. UT- Ray Mears, Stokely Athletic Center, Ernie & Bernie, Ron Slay
8. UF- Billy D jacking us around, Joakim Noah, Mike Bianchi, Rowdy Reptiles

Honorable Mention:
KU- We OWN them
Syracuse- Now irrelevant even though Boeheim is a turd
LSU- Not the same without Dale Brown

Football:
1. UofL- Petrino, Jurich, line beards with fat mouths
2. UT- Orange, Rocky Top, 3rd down for what

3. South Carolina- Spurrier, obnoxious fans

Let's see. Right now, today, if these teams played each other.

I would not pull for Duke and their rat coach, etc., over anyone else.

Would only pull for UConn if they were playing Duke, I guess. Hard to imagine pulling for UConn though.

Kansas and North Carolina are a toss up, but I would pull for them over any of the teams listed above.

I would pull for U of L to beat all the above teams.

Indiana is irrelevant, and so is Tennessee, Florida, Vanderbilt, so it is hard to even care about any of their games this year.

The first and foremost team I despise. I guess for fans that live outside of the state, and don't have to put up with them, maybe it's not as intense. IU is second because their fanbase is just as vile and venomous about UK, but I don't have to live around any of them.

I will root for any opposing team to upset the fellow Bluebloods of: UNC, Duke, and Kansas while watching a game. As they likely do against us, when we play against any opponent. But, their isn't that level of abhorrence with them as with UL.

It should be mandatory for any card-carrying UK fan to despise our in-state rival.

"Hated Rivals" are the key words here. I'll take this list and make it a true daily double Alex. The others are just thorns in the side and flavors of the week. 40 years ago the list would have looked much different for me, although UL isn't much of a basketball rival now, their internet fans are the worst of the worse garnering them the #1 still.

For me, the unweighted order isn't as significant as the magnitude of my disdain for these teams:

1a. Louisville -- magnitude: unlimited and immeasurable.
1b. Rick Pitino -- magnitude: unlimited and immeasurable.
I understand that he's not a team or program, but ...
1c. Bob Knight -- Ditto Pitino.

2. Tennessee -- magnitude: about half that vs. U. of L.;
mostly historical, since they haven't done anything in a long time.
Ray Mears; John Ward; Ernie and Bernie

3. Duke -- magnitude: 80% of that vs. Tennessee;
most of my animus is toward the Cameron Crazies - a bunch of elitist pricks.
used to hate Laettner, 'til he showed up at Rupp Arena and was pretty decent.

4. UNC -- magnitude: equal to Duke.
just so damn smug, etc.


approx. 25. Indiana -- Ever since Knight has no longer been there, they have been irrelevant to me. Of course, I've never lived across the river from Indiana.
