What is Hart's major flaw?

I really don't know enough about the kid to give you a solid answer.I don't know if he played in the camps that seem to build the players up plus a lot of the rankings now seem to be about future NBA potential.

I read he got shut down by a longer defender in the second half of his state championship game.

He’s lacks a muscle, athleticism, and didn’t play the competition Reed did.
Bullshit. He is very athletic. You know not a damn thing about him if you think that. Lol, never watch a tape on the kid. Do yourself a favor and do so. His curl off the screen jumper is nearly unguardable. He gets up and has a natural high release and squares his body up. Think Herro or Jeff Sheperd in that regard. Not saying he will be as good as either, but he IS athletic. Will drive the lane and dunk it.

I don't know what his weight is but you can bet he will add weight and mucle over the years . Heck when I went into the Air Force I was measured at 6'1 & 1/2 and weighed 155 lbs. after 4 years i was 175 lbs and could run all day. He will be fine.
If he's any good he won't be here 4 years, or 3 or even 2 years. Why do people act like Cal develops guys over years? He's pretty thin, I hope he can weather the physical contact and puts up great numbers.

I think he’ll be a great 4 year player, but he won’t contribute next year.
He probably will be a four year player. But not for UK.

Why do I think that? Because NOBODY seems to want to play a full career here anymore. It hasn’t happened since Derek Willis and it’s come to look like something that may never happen again …at least in the Cal era.

But, hey, I’m still damn glad we got this commit. I really like what I see of Hart and hope he produces well for us …for as long as he’s still here.

Was about to reply the same thing. If someone is white, they get labeled as not being athletic despite evidence proving otherwise.

He does. Lamb, Andrew, Booker, Murray, Knox, Monk, Quickley

If a guy can play he will get shots.

If a guy can’t play he’s going to struggle everywhere.

Unless one is a card carrying CHC member.

Then it’s just a miserable existence. The sky is always falling.
Look at the elimination games in Calipari's tenure, and tell me how the scoring went. I watched Murray run 50 miles a game trying to get open looks. He was so tired the Indiana game, he was front rimming everything. His legs where gone.

Personally, I think I would like to see at least one more programed screen in UK's motion offense. When UK has had serious threats to drive the lane and score, getting open looks hasn't really been the problem in my opinion. The problem has been not having enough good 3pt. shooters on the floor, and freshmen aren't likely going to be it - especially 5-star freshmen who have been able to succeed on athleticism and natural ability without any real need for great 3 pt. shooting.

Probably competition, AAU circuit runs, and I’ve seen very few guys anywhere who pass the ball left or right handed like Reed does coming out of high school. His court awareness and passing ability is what stood out to me when I watched him play. He wasn’t a good jump shooter until his Sr season. I know nothing about Hart though so I’m guessing.

Mike Flynn and Kyle Macy were certainly outstanding.
And, Jim Master, Roger Harden, James Blackmon, Sean Woods & Marquis Teague off the top of my head. And, he wasn’t a guard, but, McCarty came out of IN, as well. Had two big men who ended up never playing here, but, would’ve been very impactful, too, if things had worked out with Shawn Kemp & John Stewart.

So CJ Fredrick 2.0? Lol
CJ got PLENTY of open looks, like wide open looks, that he didn't make. We didn't run the best sets to get the kid open, but even with that he still had a ton of opportunities to cash in some buckets and just could never do it consistently.

If this kid can actually shoot 40% in game, and is at least as athletic and at least as capable on D (which isn’t saying much) then he should be a valuable asset.

Haha, that’s the reason he was going to Ball State before UK got desperate and offered. Love how every mediocre recruit UK gets is a diamond in the rough. I’d think he’d have more offers if he was “unguardable.”

With that said, I’ll cheer for him. I just don’t expect him to be a contributor anytime soon.
