Kentucky hasn’t had a good coach in over 25 years. And only 2 good ones in history.

Fland, Wagner, Davis, Richmond and Knox. That is a glut if I ever saw one…someone ain’t gonna be happy.
Arkansas adding the king of missed layups is a win for Kentucky. He will certainly take playing time away from better players.
The most drawn out non-surprise of the off season. Lanier to ut-knoxville is a close second.
Since DJ isn't a shooter per se, him playing in what should be a slower paced more traditional Calipari type system might actually serve him well. Welch's system was just too much offense for him, especially post-injury. He seems to be a good kid/teammate and I wish him well (but for the team to be a disappointment to their fans/boosters).

Exactly the type of thing that we had to see for a long time. More attention paid to number of stars than actual chemistry and balance
Dj would become a dead eye 3 point specialist. With the emphasis on the 3 Wagner would get better fast. He has decent touch on his shots he can evolve into a shooter. That’s with his ability to get to the rim and dish = first round pick.
I am not following your logic. If you have no outside shot, why would allowing a defense to setup help the shooter. If you can't shoot, you want a fast-paced game to open up more layup opportunities.
As for being a good teammate and person, that might be true, but he doesn't appear too smart. Why continue with the guy who did nothing for your game the first go around?

I was being sarcastic. I think Rupp, Hall, Pitino, Tubby and Calipari were all successful here and good coaches. Most had bad years, some, even horrible years, but I appreciate each one. When Rick was at Louisville, I wished him the worse. I’ll do the same for Calipari at Arkansas. I hope Mark Pope joins this list.

I honestly hope Cal sticks with 9 players, I have to see this hilarity that will ensue.
So basically after seeing there was no NBA interest and checking school after school and finding Cal/Ark. was the only school that guarteened him a starting spot next season.he chose Univ. of Cal.
Cal had a little to do with getting players to the NBA and it’s his system is set up to train for the NBA like a g league development team. He had scouts at practices all the time which helps a lot. The problem cal has had is his defense has been really bad the last 5 or so years and he coaches games for rock fights which gives even average teams a chance
No real basis for thinking it will make him a higher percentage shooter or layup maker. I certainly can’t say logic was applied either.
Change just simply MIGHT serve him well. After his injury last season it seemed the game was just too fast for him. He will never lead the team in shooting % for a season, but does have the intangibles to be a contributor (even though he is neither an ideal PG nor an ideal SG).
As far as him not being smart because he followed Cal, it might be something else. Under Cal he got all the minutes he wanted and it’s been drilled into him Cal gets guys to the league. Maybe that Trauma Bond is just too hard to break!
Really! They have 5 guys for 3 positions. They can also be interchanged. That is 120 minutes for 5 players.
No, No they dont., Come on man. You really think Knox and Richmond and Davis are pgs. Davis is a straight up 2 . Fland and Wagner can play 1 or 2. Knox and Richmond are more suited to the 3 but can play 2. (Thiero can play some 3 but mostly a 4).
So, 5 guys for 3 positions. We had more players last season on our team at those 3 positions. I thought they rotated well, except for the need to let Burks have more time.
Coaches have been so happy when they get cow , word is out- he's the easiest coach to plan against and everybody knows it laughing
