What does our roster look like next year????

LOL. I'm still hoping Cal looks into the transfers, but obviously I cant add one to my prediction to next year's roster before we know who's going out be out there. But I do wanna ask you something Poe. I know you always hassle me about me wanting a 5th year transfer so badly. But my question is why? Do you think its a bad idea? Or do you just not think its going to happen. I just wanted your opinion on it. We did get Mays a few years back, but I'd prefer someone a little more well rounded and a better shooter. Mays only shot like 30 something % that year from 3.

i love any idea that gets us a great shooter. But it is impossible to happen this coming year.

First off our scholly situation is already tight and we dont even have room for the #1 center at this time, who we need really bad.

Realistically, it will not happen with this class we have coming in and those returning.

Look at the roster Mays joined - Harrow, Goodwin and walk on Polson.

Look at next year's roster. Monk, Fox, Mulder, Hawkins, Mathews - does Briscoe or Ulis return?


The type of transfer you want - ala Damion Lee, does not take chances with playing time with their final year of eligibility with a roster stacked with players ranked better than them at their position.


Look at Lee this year. Mays for us. Dale Brown, even Macy. The cupboard was pretty much bare for each of these.

Bad comparison IMO. The only similarity is they both play with a very high motor. Gabriel's more of a Loul Deng, KD cross. He has a similar body type and skillset as KD had at that age. I'm not saying he's going to be as good Kevin Durant so don't be thinking that's what I meant lol. I'm just saying similar body type and similar skill set at that age.

Yeah that is a fair point. I guess I was comparing more of the motor and the ability to guard the 1-4 on defense. He will be that constant energy guy and I can absolutely see him putting in the time (like the MKG breakfast club) to get better everyday. I am excited about this kid. I am excited about everyone else, too, but I think everyone needs a player like this who will sacrifice shots in order to do the dirty work.
