What could Bamba possibly be waiting on?

Maybe, just maybe he's still trying to decide.

I'd state he has his mind made up but is waiting to see if he can have his mind changed. jmuo

If he still hasn't made up his mind where he wants to go play after all that has happened I am not sure he is too smart. (I think he is plenty smart.) (jmuo) What school he has made up his mind to attend I have no idea but I bet he has decided and for a while now. He is in no hurry and he shouldn't be. I'd like him to declare for UK today/ now but that is my desire. We shall know soon, we shall know soon.... It has been over-stated but I trust in Cal in all things related to UK basketball. I cannot remember having felt this good about how a coach conducts himself but I do now.

Patience grasshoppers; lots of time still to go.

I remember when Jamal Murray committed....he was very much a late decider, and his news came out 6/23.

Perhaps Mo wants to be the last commit...as long as he picks us, I'm okay with it.

UK semester ends in early May I believe, so he could decide soon enough to be a summer student.

He is waiting for Calipari to tell him when to commit. Probably looking for a basketball recruiting show on ESPNU to decide.

Like what was done with Noel. It's all about exposure when it comes to top lottery type talents like Bamba when it comes to Calipari.

That's why the chest never will be empty.

Lol, you don't know much about Bamba to think that. He never seemed like a UK guy to me. Definitely more a Duke fit, but he's not going there, so someplace else has always made sense to me. Granted, I'm in the minority to think that, and clearly UK is a solid choice for bigs. I just don't see the fit.

BlueDevilWildcat, I'm not sure I understand your comment?

Noel came off as a quiet and shy type like Bamba and still carved UK on the back of his head to display to the world on ESPNU he was coming to UK.

I don't think it's such a crazy theory...

Sorry, no offense intended, but the thought of Bamba carving UK (or UT) onto his head just makes me chuckle.

I don't mean to stereotype, but Bamba is a hardcore student and intellectual, and based on what he's described as important to him, I just don't see him fitting in at UK - the University.

As someone who holds a degree from the University of Kentucky I find this highly offensive. Is UK the same caliber of academics as Duke no and I would never try to claim that. However, there are plenty of brilliant people at UK and more then enough high quality professors to feed into his intellectual pursuits. It was reported he got a 30 on the ACT so lets not act like he is Einstein at UK you can't even qualify for an academic scholarship anymore unless you have AT LEAST a 30 on the ACT.
If you're trying to make a cultural argument basketball players are treated like rock stars at UK. They get invited to every social function, legions of beautiful women follow them around everywhere and they receive constant adulation literally everywhere they go in Lexington and on campus. It's a fishbowl but if you're a UK player you are kings of that fishbowl. Very very few 18 year old males in America wouldn't love to have that experience.

Let's get real, all of the universities are about the same!! It really just depends on what degree you are getting! Most of the kids aren't engineering or physics majors!!

He doesn't want to commit anywhere until you keep your word, when you lost that bet. We all don't forget...

He has stated before that he is in no hurry to make a decision. He even mentioned Allen and Bolden taking a long time to decide last year as something he might consider doing. In the end he will choose UK.

I'm probably wrong because my memory sucks but it seems like the majority of players that drag it out to the very end don't pick Kentucky.

Bamba was going to commit with Bennet as the announcer on espn, then when Brennan as the announcer...then...oh wel...EVERYBODY SING...98 espn announcers hung up on the wall, 98 espn announcers hung up..throw one down, kick him around....98 announcers hung up...

Yeah..he likes duke woman or is that lewisville women or duke flopping classes or is that...

He is waiting for Calipari to tell him when to commit. I honestly think it is that simple.

Calipari has done the exact same with top 5 commits SEVERAL times while at UK.

Diallo, Bamba, and Johnson have shown no real signs of wavering. All it is down to is building suspense now.

Going to be a fun, FUN, year...

All in my completely worthless opinion as always.

Not many players wait that long, but I remember two that did and picked us. Wall and Murray.
