I'm not a music snob and everyone lives in their own music wheelhouse. It's the lack of knowledge that's slightly annoying though. I like KSR and the producer, Shannon, is a big 90s music guy. Loves STP and has said he likes 90s Metallica more than the 1980s era of Metallica. Cool, not everyone is going to be into metal and thrash. He's clearly a straight up rock person. But I remember a segment of KSR when he acted as if he'd never heard of Ronnie James Dio before. C'mon, man. I hope to god everyone who's into rock or metal realizes this dude below took over when Ozzy was fired and helped create one of the best metal albums of all time. Just hard to fathom a rock dj (who plays Black Sabbath on a classic rock station) being completely unfamiliar with Dio, but again, everyone has their wheelhouse.
