Not related, other than listening on a road trip. I had a Summer job between my Jr and Sr. years in HS. It didn't pay s***, but I got to drive to and stay on, college campuses all over the mid-west and southeast (Ole Miss, OSU, Purdue, Columbia SC, etc.) Anyway, I had to make a road trip by myself and my car was on the fritz, so my boss loaned me one of his cars for the trip to Columbia SC It had an 8-track player, and the radio receiver didn't work. The 8 track would play, but you couldn't remove the tape. It was stuck in there for eternity. I listened to the Boston debut album on repeat for damn near 1000 miles.
I can't stand to listen to it anymore, to this day...
(the job was to take photos at the various HS cheerleading camps that were going on at these campuses over the Summer. The best part was, you got to hang out with the sponsor colleges squad. So, that eased the pain somewhat.)
Big work project today for 8 hours. A lot of Christmas Jazz and regular jazz to get the brain going.. but
