Lol im kidding, but WR/RB Ray-Ray McCloud who was in love with Kentucky before he backed off after he was basically ignored because of the Harris thing, is the top freshman at Clemson and expected to start day 1. Loved this kid, if not for us being all over Harris we would have gotten this kid too, stinks. But hey, im glad with what we have!

Good for him. Yeah the staff was in a no win spot and had to roll with the situation they had with the info they were getting on Harris. Still would have been nice to have a Ray Ray to go with our Jo Jo and Boom Boom

Your saying a 6.1 5***** athlete wanted to come to UK and we turned him down because of Harris? I remember us being on him but I don't remember us telling him thanks but no thanks. I remember watching his film and was really wanting him.

That's probably a bit of a stretch, he was a huge UF lean until things went south. He took a visit there the week before he enter to make sure of his choice.

Yup, FSU will be down this season, Georgia Tech lost a lot and I expect them to be down too, Virginia Tech isn't what it once was, Miami won't be what it once was until Golden is gone. Duke/Louisville might end up being two of the top teams in the ACC. Thankfully they have Clemson. :joy:

GT didn't lose the one guy that matters, the qb, more so than anywhere else. Their OL cut blocks every play to cut down on pursuit, partly because the DL is on the ground, partly because they don't want torn ACLs. Their QB is a tremendous talent for the position at Tech, sprinter speed, reads the option well and can throw it a little bit. They always control the clock and tempo of the game. I think they win the ACC this year, their offense will cause the entire league fits with that qb who will be a soph. Playing assignment football is relatively simple to do, but tackling a 10.4 100 meter sprinter who is a very good/great option qb doesn't allow you to just play assignment football or he turns the corner on you. Plus they get their leading tackler back this season after being academically ineligible for the 14 season.

What does showing me 1 site's 5 star rating prove to me? I said by maybe one service. And you showed me one service lol. i know for a fact rivals had him a 4 star at first. Espn and 24/7 kept him a 4 star. But thats not even what we are talking about here. People like you make life hard...

Their system (the flexbone) pretty much requires great running backs. They lose all their starting backs (22 touchdowns last season combined). In fact they lose all their starting offensive skill-position starters. I think I'm in the minority who believes they will take a huge step back, but I just don't see how their system can maintain what it was last season losing that kind of talent. For that system having a good QB is frankly kind of pointless except where he gets into the running game, but just the loss of all that RB talent and the other skill position talent makes me think they have a mediocre year. If they ran a different kind of system I might be more optimistic for them, but until they prove me wrong I think they go 7-5 or maybe 8-4.

Well now you've seen it. You just come on here talking out ur butt and got called out on it. I followed his recruitment carefully as well and saw the posts about how he was seriously consindering us. Well actions speak louder than words and you got played. He was deciding between Clemson and Florida and those were his only 2 choices.
Then after your hanging on his nads you make a comment marginalizing his ability. Then you come back again and do it once more. What do you think he was a 5.8 4 star? I bet he was a top 100 recruit on the other services as well. But I guess you think somebody who was a 5 star on one site and high 4 stars (guessing here) on the others would just be a bench warmer here.
The only person here who is making things difficult is you. Ask Stoops would you take a commitment from a 5 star player that's begging to come play who is projected to be a wideout in college but also is just as talented as a back. He's gonna say sign this kid up every time and twice on Sunday. And then keep after Harris. That's what good coaches do and we have a good coach.

Did you contact the administration on how you know the kid and he's begging to come to UK? I'm sure you were on a crusade to get him here because you believed this (pm). Lol

I loved his film and wanted him to come to UK. If we passed on him trying to land Harris, that was a mistake.

If that's true, it just shows more of how Harris played us. I honestly believe the coaching staff thought we had him when, as we later found out, he had made his decision months earlier, but wanted the attention by holding off so long on his announcement.

Screw Harris.

They also lost an AA ol, but the an is key, they run the dive, they run the an behind the dive, it's the old wingT offense, down to formations and plays. If you have an elite athlete who can make the reads, it's tough to stop. It doesn't matter who they have at wr, secondary is so run support concious he will find openings. I think they win the ACC,

Idk who the heck youre arguing with but you didnt call me out on anything? Just because he was a 5 star proves my whole thread wrong? Lol you need some evaluation my friend. Youre arguing with yourself. I didnt think he was a 5 star, i said he may be on one service which he is on 1 service. So just go on somewhere youre trying to pick an argument and you look fairly ignorant doing so.

Bet you voted for Obama, eh? ;)

from what i remember he was pro UK until the big boys came calling. seemed like after uf and clem got into the game hard that we were out. there were a lot of teams we could of beat out for him but there were 3 or 4 that we couldn't and 2 of them offered.

Just because he was a 5 star proves my whole thread wrong?
Him being a well documented 5 star here on this site, when Rivals ratings are the standard used, not ESPN/Scout/24/7, doesn't prove your thread wrong, it proves you didn't actually follow along with his recruitment, you just tried to give him a beej through twitter.

Now, your entire OP being ignorant and worthless proves your whole thread stupid, but not wrong. Saying we turned down RayRay proves your entire thread wrong.

Have you looked at their schedule? It's probably the toughest in the ACC. I guess we'll find out in a few days whether they pick up where they left off last year or whether they drop off.

Believe me, nothing.would make me smile more than an 0-12 Tech, but their offense will be legit and they are getting back their leading tackler from the 13 season who missed last year because of grades. They will be pretty good unfortunately

footballfanatic77 no where in my response did I use what you entered as my quote! Go look, Sweeny gets a boatload of promising highly rated players and they just can't get over the hump. they underachieve!

It was verbatim what you said...lol. I think Clemson has consistently improved so I don't know that I would say they have underachieved. I do think they need to make the playoffs this year or next if they are ever going to take the next step.

Clemson reminds me of the South Carolina of a few years back. Consistant but nothing more, as of lately.
