I’m hoping he’s a monstrous X-factor for UK this year.
Been lacking a true XO guy since Robic. Sounds like he and Cal go way back, with his son being a walk on. Hopefully cal listens.
Need a good court coach. Is Welch that guy along with Chin?

Cannot wait to see the impact he has on the players. He's a tireless worker. Players better be ready to keep up.
I like his soft-spoken demeanor. Kind of reminds me of Robic in that regard. I hope he helps Calipari with the glaring deficiencies we've seen the last few years.

I’m glad he is meeting with all 7 players or is it 8 now. Shouldn’t need name tags with that few people.
Rondo is evidently joining the staff in July, so that should help as well.
Between Welch, Coleman, Rondo, and Antigua, you'd hope Cal's offense doesn't look like trash next season.
I recall when Welch was announced that he was to do player development AND like an offensive coordinator role.
I feel like Rondo and Cal will bump heads. Hopefully Rondo doesn't take his crap like the other coaches do.
Rondo would be the best thing that ever happened to John Calipari from a challenge perspective. He's absolutely break the sacred "in case of emergency, break glass" exterior Cal has set up.
Rondo played with or against (and gained the respect from) some of the most competitive guys who ever lived: Kobe, KG, Shaq, Wade, LeBron, Pierce, etc.
Kobe and LeBron both have said Rondo is one of the smartest basketball minds they've ever played against/with.
Can you imagine Rondo on the recruiting trail, telling 17 year-olds what it was like to challenge Kobe in a game 7, or what it was like to discuss situational strategy with Shaq, LeBron, and Anthony Davis?
I’m pretty sure someone mentioned it not too long ago that it might not be happening anymore due to rondos aau team, I don’t remember exactly but it was something to do with aau. Think it was pilgrim
I'm all for Rondo coming on board. I think young players would rather hear from players that have been through the league and have won a championship.
