Seriously, how did this happen? I love Stoops and want him here forever, but we have to figure out what happened to this team. They’ll probably win today and may even get 8 wins. If so I’m happy with the results but the team playing right now is not an 8-4 team. We can’t move the ball and can’t get any pressure on the QB. I just don’t get it. I’m seriously interested in what people think went wrong because right now this isn’t a good football team.

“right now this isn’t a good football team.”
That about sums it up. Hope they can somehow gut out a win against Vsndy, but it’s not looking good at start of 2nd quarter.

We are fine. We will sleep walk to a win today then come out like gang busters v #1 next week in the Bluegrass.

Playing Vandy does this to teams, however the longer they hang around the more dangerous they become. I’m sure halftime will change some things for the good.

Want Stoops here forever yet we have an inept offense, an existent kicking game, and we still make horrible coaching errors in crucial moments.... in year 10.

Call me crazy but I'd take a swing and miss hire .. at least we'd be trying to win. Unlike now it seems we've been trying to not lose for a decade.

I don’t think that’s fair. Teams have up and down years on offense and defense. I think the bigger issue is that this teams offense has regressed when it should have progressed and we have no plan to put pressure on an opponents QB.

Up and down years yet we have the most talent we've ever had

And what do up and down years have to do with not having a 5th grade level kicking game? It's year 10..there's zero excuse for that.. also doesn't effect players looking to the sidelines for play calls while the offens snaps the ball on 3rd down for a conversion that a paraplegic in a non motorized wheel chair could have got... or declining a penalty because we're too scared of 3rd and 33 so we concede a field goal...and end up losing by a field goal... and then the very next game we accept a penalty when declining would have made it 4th down and a punt..

We will make first game of career coaching errors for the entirely of Stoops tenure here. He has zero quick critical thinking skills. Zero.

Maybe you should first figure out how you truly feel ... you seem to be in conflict. You say "I love Stoops and want him here forever" without considering the thought that after 10 years, we find ourselves in this unacceptable condition with the program. You appear to be "virtue signaling" to try avoiding retribution from others on this board that will attack you if you don't couch your words properly. You have to look at "all options" as to where the problems may lie and Stoops himself has to be at the top of the list. Why is Stoops, after 10 years, have this program in this condition, if indeed he knows what he's doing? You may want to ask Barnhart and the University president to start.

The only players on the team with a backbone are the ones still trying to show off for NFL scouts. Ole Miss broke their spirit and they never had the heart to build it back. I put more effort into my morning dump than our offensive AND defensive line puts in on Saturday’s. I went to a playoff HS football game last night and I don’t care what anyone says, those boys care more about winning than Kentucky’s football players.
If we fooled around and won that ole miss game, it’s untelling if we would have ever lost again. But clearly our perseverance is so fragile they were done before week 5. Zero grit.

oh and that OC is dumber than a box of hair.

That’s just not true at all. You can question what’s happened this year and not question Stoops over-all direction of the program. And if I worry about what people think then why am I crushing Cal on the basketball board? I believe Stoops will figure this out, I also believe he needs to figure out what happened if he’s going to fix it. Scangrello’s offense is a major problem right now. I’m not even saying they need to make a personnel change there yet but they have to be willing to evaluate and adapt.
