between now and next season Marcus Lee learns how to shoot good enough to produce 12-15 PPG. Hey, stranger things have happened.......

Lee needs to work on the butter fingers and free throw shooting. If he can improve the way Dakari did at the line he can at least be in the game. Right now he shoots something like 33% from the line. How is that even possible at this level?

It is so odd. I played high school and small college ball as a 6'1" forward. Always played against taller players. I never had a season where I shot under 50% and probably shot 60% from 10 feet and in. I just cannot understand how these athletes cannot or will not learn how to shoot. Hell, with Lees hops from 8-10 feet he should be shooting down at the rim. Incredible.....

Hopefully get the guy from NC State so he and Mulder can play the 3.. Poy at the 4 with Willis backing him up and contributing.. Lee backing Skal up at the 5.. Then Wynyard coming in January and adding Maker.. Then I can see a final four run.. But they all have to contribute..

I'd guess Willis averaging 12-15 ppg is more likely than Lee doing it.

I don't think either of those two things is very likely at all.

Some bigs get used to overpowering smaller players inside and never develop any outside touch.

I think we have a few 12-15 ppg scorers on this roster. Ullis, Briscoe, Skal and Poythress could do it. I don't think Lee has that ability nor does Willis. If they combined to get 12-15 per game that would be fine. We don't need those 2 to score that much. They just need to score a little, rebound and play defense. Under Cal they guys that score more than 12 per game are the primary scorers on the roster.

I think most are forgetting how important Lee and Poythress were in our Final Four run in 2014.

We have a FF team if somehow most everyone of our guys massively improve in every facet of their game. Especially on O.
What did Lee average 3 ppg? What about Ulis, 6? Poy can't be much better. And those are out best returning scorers.
Skal would need to average 30 ppg. With the others getting around 7-8 ppg.

This is why I love recruiting scorers. At least they know how put points on the board. We need Murray in a bad way. The 2 spot is his if he wants it.
