We Called it: Club Blue Whiskey

I like it! Might see if I can get one shipped to CO.

I think this is the way for NIL. It gets difficult to just ask for money and not give anything in return. Got to get creative with it, and KY folks will pay for some bourbon; especially knowing it can help with bball.

$40? Ugh, what kinda swill is this going to be. It has to be so bad if they can sell it for $40 and still shave enough off for NIL to make this endeavor worth it.

I saw some at Liquor Barn in Louisville last night. There was a $40 and a $100 (I think) option. I'm curious to know exactly what percentage goes to NIL.

Excuse the cynicism but at least you can get drunk while your favorite teen athlete parties his ass off and gets happy feet in the pocket and can’t hit a jumper or throw strikes .. party on NCAA

I'd have to image quite a bit right? There are $40 bourbons that are OK, but I gotta think they want more in profit than your typical, cover the cost of production, profit for the manufacturer, NIL share. I'd think at least $10 if not $20 to NIL, which puts this probably squarely slightly better than Kentucky Gentleman.

Looks like we have two bottles of finished rye whiskeys available.

Thoughts?

I'd prefer a team-up with Buffalo Trace and their stellar wheaters, but this is a great start in my opinion.

Just in time for the holidays, too, boys and girls!
I don’t even drink but I’ll buy some as gifts and maybe for a drink here or there just because I wanna help my team. I’ll save it for a loss lol.

There are some good bourbons out there for $40 but I strongly suspect this is not one of them. You’re paying for the label.

That's my thought as well, but I would love to be wrong. I could see the product being okay to good with a low price point if Club Blue sold BespokenSpirits on this opportunity amounting to a giant advertisement campaign. For a small, growing business, an NIL co-op like this could be huge.

Keeps the finished product cost low for the consumer, allows CB to draw sufficient funds from each sale, and allows the growing distillery to put out a quality product and grow their brand simultaneously.

All of this is speculation, of course. No use in guessing, though. Gotta go buy a bottle.
