We are almost lock for 3 seed

Robinson injury will hurt our seeding.
Not now we proved we can win without him several times this year including at Missouri. Had we lost today I would have agreed with you but winning today made it not matter we are a 3 seed save crapping the bed our first SEC game and others over taking us.

That said I will still root against all the teams close to us to be safe.

We are a 3 seed. We were the second 3 seed on the 15th and improved our resume.

Some of the teams above us have fallen as well.

Even if we outright won the SEC tournament, they wont give us a 2 seed.

They got us at a 3.

Is it still gonna be :

East
1) dUKe
2)St. John's
3) Kentucky
etc. ?

or is that too transparent and they go with :

Midwest
1) Houston
2) Michigan State
3) Kentucky

or some combination, cause with 2 #1 seeds going to the SEC, you wont be putting Kentucky into any of those regions, presumably. And so it looks like dUKe or Houston's region we be a goin' to regardless of who the 2 seed is.

Yeah, no way they are a 2. Bama, Tennessee, Mich St, Wisconsin, Iowa St all have better resumes.
Only thing I’ll say is that in the past there have been statements like, “championships matter.” Still feel like you have to weigh the quality of that championship.

UK will have a SEC team as their 1 or 2 seed in their bracket. It’s all but a guarantee given the rules and where the SEC teams currently stand.

AU and UF get 1 seeds with Duke and Houston
UT and Bama get 2 seeds and go in the Duke/Houston regions.

IF we play Bama on Friday in the SECT we would not be able to be the 3 to their 2 in the NCAAT due to playing each other 3 times. If we somehow met Tennessee the same would apply but that is exponentially less likely.

Chances are we are the 3 seed in Auburn or Florida’s region. But teams are stacked up right behind UK so movement is almost guaranteed.

That makes me feel better. I don't want to lose to that prick (not saying we would).

I suppose if they also run through the BE Tournament they will have a better argument. Feels to me like they have work to do though.

I don’t think they’re in front of us currently, but I’ve been wrong before.

If we get an SEC team as the 1 seed.....

I hope it's Auburn

They changed the rules, because the conferences have so many teams now.

The seeding rules are relaxed if a conference has 9 or more teams in the tourney. So, the SC can do whatever they want because the SEC has so many teams making the tourney.

The Big Ten is in the same boat.

They will try to spread the teams out the best they can, but they do not have their hands tied like they would if there were only 8 teams from the SEC making it.

This guy is one of the best at bracket matrix he had us #9 overall coming into today

Sounds about right.

We were 10 on the 15th for the Reveal and got two Q1 wins, a Q2 win, and a Q3 win. Mizzou win was a Q1A.

Losses were Q1 losses. Two of the three losses were Q1A.

Iowa St. was 9, and our resume since has been better. So thinking we passed them makes sense.

They have Texas Tech and Michigan St. passing us, which I can see, they have both been on great runs.

A&M falling below us. They have a big win at a home against Auburn and we have a big road win at Mizzou. Both were huge. The difference is they lost four in a row before the Auburn win, while we went 2-2..

I think that’s pretty spot on.

I think UK is either the top or 2nd best 3 seed. If they make it to SEC finals then the last 2 seed is in play. A loss on Thursday shouldn’t drop UK to a 4 seed unless multiple current 4 seeds go on deep conference tournament runs. In past years the conference tournaments haven’t changed seedlings much. I don’t see how Texas A&M would be ahead of UK on S curve right now. UK has 10 quad 1 wins and they have 7, plus UK has the head to head win.

I still think the committee will move some SEC and BIG teams a seed line up, or down, to avoid as many early same-conference matchups as possible.
