Maxey needs to be the one running the show
We built our lead out to 17 with him on the bench. That lead evaporated when he came back in.

When he drives and dishes it’s beautiful. The problem is he drives and throws up garbage that has no chance of going in 98% of the time. It could be a 5 on 1 fast break and he’d rather drive right at the defender rather than pass the ball for a wide open dunk.
He's a good defensive player, but his offense is shaky especially when drives to the basket....

What kills me is he is so quick to yell at anybody else on the team but I’ve never once seen him get on hagans. Wtf is up with that??
Look, in this game, the OP isn't wrong. It's not a coincidence a 15 point lead went to the crapper when it did. It's not hating or bashing, it's being a realist.
Hagans has always been toxic to this team. He has zero feel for the game and saying he sabotages some of the other players is not a stretch.

100% this. Guy is overhyped and his idiotic TOs and bad decisions on offense outweigh what he can do on defense. I don't know what changed, or if we were just fooled, but the guy collapsed at the end of last year and he collapsed even worse the past 1.5 months this year.
If Cal doesn't keep him on the bench more or Hagans doesn't figure out his issues, we may not make it to the second weekend.
I'm pretty certain Cal knows how bad Hagans is right now, but I think he knows we have to have Hagans to have a shot at a FF.
Hagan's ego must be fragile as a 13-year old girl that just got dumped by the love of her life. Cal goes out of his way to praise him and NEVER criticizes him. I know Cal is great at knowing how to push buttons with players, but whatever he's trying with Hagans isn't working and he's actively costing us over the past month.
Not sure a European team would want a guard who can't shoot. International basketball is much more dependent on perimeter basketball than NCAA basketball.
