From what I've seen and all that I've read and know about (this has been my favorite recruit of this class for over a year - really wanted him) the guy is a killer on the court. Absolute alpha dog. Dude is built like a brick chit house and wants to kill any hopes anyone has on the court. Monk has that killer instinct too, the only person that I feel is even close to that on our basketball team is Murray.
this...and it kills me...he seems like such a good, smart person. If he does, I hope he finds the heart that he lacks here thus far. I wish him the best regardless of what he does. I do think he's a quality young man, an extraordinary athlete and a little better than average, by UK standards at least, basketball player. I just don't think he has a passion for the game.
I wouldn't be surprised if teams looked at his strength and driving ability and took a late first round flyer on him because you can teach a kid to shoot. I just see him as a confident kind of kid who wants to advance ASAP.
Poythress, Lee, Murray, and Skal leave. Problem solved. Personally I think both Murray and Skal should return, but I doubt they will. If so Cal definitely has a problem. What's he going to do, ask Dom and Willis to give up their scholly's? Skal seemed to be showing some improvement against Ole Miss. Hopefully he does improve some which helps the team, and his draft status. Same for Murray who at times seems to be getting he should let Ulis penetrate, and get him the ball for an open shot. Seems like most every time he drives into the middle of the lane something bad happens.
Plus the fact that this years draft is one of the weakest in history factors in .Ulis is gone. He almost left last year. As the previous poster said, his stock will never get higher than it was last year.
Yeah I'm not following that at all . Kids usually don't reclassify to stay in college an extra year . Plus there are a lot of NBA teams that would love to have him .Why in the world should Murray return? His issues are maturity of the game. That would be Roy-esque to ask a Top 10 pick to return in order to become a better decision maker.
