Of course, Bam is not 100% gone so that remains to be seen.

I have to believe he was thinking Gabriel instead of Hump, but could be wrong.

My dad just texted me and said he just got an alert that Gabriel is gone. Thought I checked many places, dont see anything about it anywhere.

And if the report (read: the 1x thread here) is true, Gabriel will be 9. Assuming Bam doesn't return.

Relax, Francis. Didn't realize it was fake news as I saw it in a few places (all quoting the same fake account).
Yeah. You deserve a pass on this one. I mean, bleacher report ran with it too. When I got their alert I thought it was legit.

Cal knew exactly who had the POTENTIAL to leave when he made that statement. Those 8(Bam slight chance of returning), have all announced so that there is no reason for Bamba, Knox, Johnson and Smith to wonder any longer who is returning.

I hope Hump is the last to leave and from Cal's statement over a month ago, I am confident that he is.

He sure did know. It's laughable for anyone to say he didn't. Very laughable, IMO.

He didn't know more than anyone. He just said 8 throwing a number out off his head mid conversation.
Totally agree. It may wind up being 8.0000000000000 but in that setting "8" means "more than 5 and less than 10."

Reading any more than that into it is nothing but having too much time on our hands. Which we all do so I don't blame anyone. But come on. Cal had strong clear feedback from everyone on the team back then and he knew no one would change their minds and yet he still didn't have them go ahead and announce until well into April because he didn't care about how unanswered questions about open spots would affect recruiting? Or Cal just threw out a ballpark number based on having done this a lot? Be realistic.

Any word on the locker room attendants? Are any of them thinking about the next level?

I doubt it. Wasn't that hard to figure out. I predicted it would be Humphries. Some thought it would be Wenyen or SKJ but to me, it was glaring that it was Isaac. The shortly after he made the comments about his future being up in the air and that just solidified it in my mind. I didn't want it to be Isaac, that's for sure. I think he could've really helped us a lot next year. He would've been a junior on paper but only a sophomore by age. People forget that he was the youngest sophomore in the country.

I would assume Humphries came and talked to him long ago about it. Cal is their mentor not some guy they can't approach and talk to....and if course it's absolutely no one else's business for him to disclose anything he knows
