I was leaving the Lake Pointe Center this afternoon when I saw John Calipari sit down at an outside table with Oregon assistant, Chuck Martin. It was away from the crowd of coaches inside. You have to understand the layouts to these events. Huge crowds of coaches and others inside. They seemed to get away to a more private spot. Martin was with Frank Martin at South Carolina and was with Cal at Memphis from 2006-08. They were speaking for about 15 minutes or so before I left. Still talking when I walked away. Don’t know it it was a regular conversation, a friend asking a friend for advice, or more. Just wanted to report what I saw. You can come to your own conclusions. Maybe it’s something. Maybe it’s not. Treading lightly here, but I wanted to share.
