Wagner to attend BBM (not visiting UL)

Can UofL fans realistically say that even with Wagner and Bradshaw, that they can compete for a national title?

Wagner and Bradshaw will be in college for one year, don’t they realize these kids will want to win and compete for a title in their one year of college, especially if the NIL money is the same or better?

I'd rather have Livingston return for another year over Collins because I think Collins might be redundant with Kingsley/Ware/Bradshaw.

Give me Livingston and Reeves back.

Wagner -Dillingham - Fredrick - Sheppard
Reeves - Dillingham - Fredrick - Sheppard
Edwards - Reeves - Thiero
Livingston - Bradshaw
Bradshaw - Kingsley - Ware

Minutes:

Wagner - 27
Livingston - 27
Edwards - 25
Dillingham - 23
Bradshaw - 22
Reeves - 20
Kingsley - 18
Fredrick - 15
With 23 minutes to divide among Thiero, Sheppard, and Ware.

Livingston is built like a tank, has good touch, and is very athletic. He was like a top 5 recruit at one point. I just think he looks like a typical one and done we have. Just see him as one of the least likely to return, NBA scouts should love him.

You're right.

If his handles are legit, he could be a Jaylen Brown level player for us. I'm not sure we've had an explosive wing forward like him since Keldon Johnson.

Livingston would fit better than Collins for the modern game, for sure. But two problems: 1. Livingston is most likely OAD and 2. Cal doesn’t play small ball very often, he will want to play two bigs.

I honestly don't think very many players these days have winning or competing for a title high on their list. #1 priority by a mile is potential for making money. Can't really blame them.

I don't think anyone expects it. What I will say is none of us know how much money Oscar is making in NIL. If he has another standout year and still has zero draft stock why is it outside of the realm of possibility for him to return?

What if Oscar is making $3M in NIL this year he may make $5M next year? If he has no guarantees in NBA this may exceed his earning potential.

Don't think either side is wrong...all I would say is if you win NPOY and don't have NBA potential but have an avenue to collect money to do what you do at college level, why not?
I don't think it is out of realm of possibility, just curious as to what others thought. We have never had someone of Oscar's caliber come back, regardless of draft stock, so it is crazy to think that we could have him for another two seasons.

I would argue Patrick Patterson as someone of Oscar’s caliber who came back. Oscar the superior rebounder, Patterson the superior scorer but both were double-double machines.

Patterson turned down the lottery twice for UK as well.

But, Oscar is the first player we’ve had in 11-12 years, so they are quite literally once-in-a-decade players.

My goodness, we land Wagner and Bradshaw UK could have a legit shot at back to back titles for 1st time in 75 yrs.!

UL would get everyone back off their current team so, in theory, plugging those two in would likely make them a 4 or 5 seed imo after these guys get a full season of development.
