@Orange_N_White

still want to state this is not typical UT?

Sources: Vols safety Jaylen McCollough cleared to play as attorney lays out defense in assault case

Knoxville attorney Chloe Akers, representing McCollough, filed a motion in Knox County General Sessions Court Wednesday maintaining his innocence and asking for a preliminary hearing to be moved up to the earliest possible date for Nov. 10. It's currently set by the state for Nov. 18.
Akers released a statement on Oct. 21 that McCollough had "resolved this matter" with the University of Tennessee’s Office of Student Conduct & Community Standards following a "thorough investigation."

This is how you do it folks! None of this 9-month-one year investigation, with players missing half the season while "the system runs its course" BS. Hell no, an exhaustive three minute investigation followed by an "all clear." TN has cut the template on sweeping shit under the rug.

True....Mitch needs to remove all tentacles that an independent student board has say in player suspensions. The coach and AD needs to make the call. All the remaining stuff is self righteous baloney.

Absolutely. It's literally incredible to think we self reported the best returning RB in the sec for doing something scores of employees did. No way anyone else does that.

It probably took two weeks for UK to get a response to their email. I'd say whomever is left at the NCAA to review potential improper benefits cases probably thought this was some prank because surely noone would self report such nothingburger

Typical UT… suspend until the facts play out

The kid is innocent at this point until proven guilty & was cleared by the student conduct board. They’re doing right by their student athlete-Kentucky is the one who has screwed their kids around because of Mitch. Besides, I want them to be at full strength if/when we beat them anyway.

I read an article on the local nashville website for wkrn and in this case there are several witnesses backing the safetys story. Does that mean it's how it went down? Nope. Does it mean he will probably end up cleared by the courts? Most likely and if the witnesses back his version of events that's how the justice system works.

He did sit for bama and the cupcake, which is longer than most of us thought he would.

It isn't my narrative it's yours. Your team and fans keep telling everyone this is a huge game despite what you say.

Black unis, black out, letting this guy play, endless posts on our board. Etc etc.

It isn't my narrative at all. It's me pointing out the hypocrisy
Alternative unis are for non rivals and something fun because the matchup isn’t that great ( hence the 2 TD point spread ) , plus it’s Halloween weekend. Plus the dark mode u have to admit are quite sweet. UT needed him far more Vs Bryce young than Vs UK and the anti tempo offense.

Yes yes sure. That's also why there is a black out, players with serious allegations are suddenly playing, all you people are flooding our board etc etc.

U don’t see how sitting him Vs Bryce Young of Alabama ( #1 team in cfb) and playing him Vs UK the slowest tempo team in all of CFB doesn’t fit your narrative?
Anyway it really doesn’t matter if we don’t agree that it’s a big game , the players will decide it tomorrow night. Should be fun

It is a huge game

I never said it wasn’t

Again…a drink guy comes into your home.

what do you do?

Im with Tennessee fan on this one

(Im also a native East Tennessean incidentally - Claiborne Co is BEAUTIFUL this time of year)

Hope we knock them off at Rocky Top - it'll be hell for sure

Hey UT fans -- do any of y'all remember the 1982 Worlds Fair in Knoxville?

I was there as a kid & still can't believe how well that all went down

Have a good weekend my peoples - :)

If those witnesses are students tuition is free next semester, if they aren't students they have sideline passes for next home game.

It's great to see UT fans post what an ethical and moral programe the vols are. But then the go out and recruit a kid with a history of domestic violence, trashing their own stadium and putting their own players, cheerleaders and dance team in danger. The trashiest program and fanbase in the country and the do something to remind other fanbases of that every year. SEC should have suspended their entire baseball program, but they managed to choke away a college world series championship.

No, but when he apologizes and then leaves, do you then proceed to follow said dude, harass him, and punch him down a stairwell so that he loses multiple teeth and consciousness?

Nah, you don't, unless you cheer or play for Tennessee apparently. The dumbest fanbase in the country that also happens to be full of petulant people who lack the ability to control their emotions. Fun combination that the rest of the country hates.
This is the difference. If it happened in the apartment then I’m fine with it. You don’t know someone’s intentions if they stroll into your house late at night.

but if he was like oh damn my bad and is trying to leave…feel free to verbally ensure they know they aren’t welcome and will be met w force if they come back but don’t follow them and instigate further.

now if they guy was popping off at the mouth and not super apologetic but instead was trying to act hard after stumbling into your apartment…I see no issue with finishing what was started bc again, someone ends up in your living room in the middle of the night running their mouth… even if they try tk get away, it’s understandable to see it to the end in a fight/flight response.

don’t be a drunk asshole

I didn’t know UK players pulled guns on frat boys (I know the charges were dropped but so were Bru’s). If you don’t want other people libeling UKs players, don’t do it to UTs. Casting stones isn’t smart in todays climate.

Drunk man walk into your apartment. You offer him tea?
Hooray, you got two likes.

Oh wait, they both have vol in their signature.

Tillman, McCullough and the other starting safety will be back for Tennessee Saturday, looks like they will be full strength Saturday
Our two starting CB’s are out. That’s not counting the original starting corner we lost for the season, so that makes 3 corners out. I would not say full strength, Tillman will play 20 to 25 plays and I bet the safety does not even play. Levis should have a field day, hopefully we can score more.
