As for "the baseball rule". I think that is one of a number of options better than current. I don't see how you get $60M at the end of career contract. The only difference is in the beginning. And if you are good enough after 1 yr of college, you were very likely good enough 1 yr earlier.
And think about this guys......... if Pitino had stayed at UK.... Vitale would of been humping everything UK also because he was as latched on to Pitino as he was/is coach K.

Vitale sure was latched on to Pitino at UK. He was on UK's nuts back then, especially 1996 - 97.
Harden is the heart of the rockets and he plays no defense. Let's see if Okafor can elevate his offense to the point where he can be a star without playing defense like Harden.
