6-foot-8, 270-pound Indiana offensive tackle Ben Knutson just spoke with me about his trip to Lexington yesterday. He's been in touch with John Schlarman for a while now, though he doesn't have an offer. That communication was one reason for the trip, but his sister lives in Kentucky, as does her boyfriend, and they've been encouraging him to go and visit UK.
Though Kentucky did not offer, and some other schools have (Indiana, Illinois, Purdue), Knutson said he was very impressed with everything. He loves the coaches and says they're very hospitable and the facility upgrades caught his attention. He did say that he has liked every school he's visited but hasn't fallen in love with the perfect match quite yet, so he's going to keep doing his homework. I did get the impression that Kentucky would be in decent shape if they offered. He loved Louisville's dorms and he likes Purdue's academics a lot.
