VCU Big man

Wow, I’m usually accused of being a sunshine pumper. LOL!

Sorry, I’m just trying to be realistic about a 6’7 kid who has played the post in the A-10.

Some times you have to be the voice of reason, there are too many on this board who think any big man with a pulse is a savior.
Man, I have no idea what he's talking about. Saying you're negative is preposterous. I'd go so far as to say you're decidedly positive. The group of 5-6 members are losing it. Everything is negative if they don't say it, I guess.

Anybody remember Chuck Hayes? This guy has the same build with the big lower body but a couple of inches taller than Chuck. We have the shot blockers, we just need a guy who can clear it out, set the picks and go get rebounds. This guy has proved that he can do that against top teams. This guy would compliment any team he plays on.

4 More years and he will help eradicate your type of no good free-loaders. MAGA!!!
You really have too much hate. Some advice, get help. Please go get help. Also, you might be surprised to find out that I will be voting for Trump, this year. Last time I voted for the independent.

I say bring him on. If you can get Haarms, bring him too.

I like this guy's build and power. If he wants to be here, I say sign him up.

Just ignore people like that. Mental issues and trying to make people miserable like theirselves.

I saw that he entered the draft already too.

Two others are in similar positions like him as seniors that declared for the draft in Paul Atkinson and Tamenang Choh.
So did Travis Reid and he wound up here. I could that happening again. I find this interesting:

Good, good. That is exactly what we are hoping for.

I believe I actually prefer this guy over Haarms. I know you can’t teach 7’3, but Silva is extremely athletic. Shockingly so from the highlights I watched. He’s also shown he can play more minutes than what Haarms can. Idk. Something about this just feels right to me.
I'd be fine with him. Rebounding is hard work and his stats show he brings it every game. He's 6-7, 250 and some people think he's too short. If you told the same people he's 6-8, 250 they'd be drooling. LOL

So it's not even 9:30 AM (central time) in a Tuesday thread about a VCU transfer that UK isn't even recruiting right now, and already we've seen references to hangings, upcoming political violence, and fake troll accounts that post pictures of porn in order to incriminate message board rivals.

Who needs Tiger King when you've got Rupp's Rafters?

SOS, I'm starting to wonder if my troll stalker isn't coachx11. Remember how he stalked @morgousky? It's similar, I think

Santos-Silva played against Haarms this year too. It was pretty obvious he outplayed Haarms, but Haarms may have more potential. Santos-Silva looks like a left-handed Reid Travis clone to me.

I just can't see why we'd take someone like this when we've got a zillion guys 6'7" - 6'9" already. Gonna end up with 11-12 committed and 1 or 2 really good bigs come available via transfer or reclass and either we miss on them because we're too crowded or get them and lose someone else. It's April people, and most of these guys are players that played on bad mid major teams.
You're so right, Calipari clearly doesn't know what he's doing.

Which posters did you piss of in the past? This dude seems legitimately disturbed.
When I first crossed paths with him, he was calling himself "Blue in the Brew". He took exception to my assertion that this past season's team was one of Cal's least talented teams. I compared the talent to the 2012-2013 team. He kept trying to poke me on it, getting angrier. He finally resorted to making a racist comment about my wife, and he was banned. He came back as der g_punkt, and made it obvious he was the same guy. I called him out, he lost his composure, made another racist comment, was banned again. From there, it cycles. He makes a new account, posts a bit, makes a reference to me and the 2013 team, gets banned, and has these temper tantrums.
He's the same guy that struggled to understand how the NET rankings worked. Had a whole multi-page thread with him arguing with everyone.

That's some seriously weird stuff.

I'm sorry you're getting harassed.

Maybe the mods can take legal action if he keeps it up.

I say sign him up if he wants to come be a Cat. Chuck Hayes was only 6'6" and he was a pretty good post player for us. Like others have said, rebounding is about work and hustle. This guy seems to bring it. Averaged 18 ppg and 13 rpg per 40 minutes at VCU. With the scoring we have coming in, he won't need to score that much. But, if he can keep the hustle and give us 10 rpg, then convert half half of those into putbacks, we have a 10 and 10 post player. Which would be great for this team.

@bucsrule8872 I apologize I am getting you mixed up with another poster/posters who say Askew won’t be good and Jackson won’t either, it’s hard to remember names when most of this board has the default rivals avatar!

It’s fine. I actually thought it was funny because I usually get called out as a Cal lovin’ sunshine pumper.

Dude looks to be a potential:

Charles Barkley
Larry Johnson
Corliss Williamson
Danny Fortson
Chuck Hayes

I would take any one of those guys as my big man on this team.

But is this kid as talented as those guys? Doubtful.

I’m thinking he would be a good filler if we can’t get Haarms or another high profile big man.

Didn't know who this guy was but watching his video I do too now. I want some who can run the floor and play fast. Haarms isn't that but again 7'3 is 7'3 . But give me a Jason Parker type in the modern game compared to a 7'3 guy. Still I will take either lol. We still have a ton of shot blocking with Jackson and Fletcher.

Oh yea. And I don’t mean that as a shot towards Haarms and it has nothing to do with how slow he’s been to decide. I’d love to have both but if I had to choose, I’d take Silva.
