Vandy Favored by 2 Hosting Tex A&M Tonight

Only 2 questions....

1. Will some of you ever understand that there aren't a lot of surprising road losses in college hoops?

2. Still waiting for someone to convince me home court is worth only 3-4 points. Does anyone in the whole wide world think of this game had been played at A&M Vandy would've won by 13?

I said the, other night home court is worth at least 10-12

Amazing and just like that Vanderbilt is going to move in the backet by many now. Hard to believe.

Wisky too after having horrible home losses to Western Illinois and Milwaukee is going to be near in too now.

Just goes to show how hard it is to win on the road in SEC play.

Anyone thinking the SEC sucks is an idiot IMO. Evidence everywhere to speak to the contrary.
Auburn and Tennessee are not good teams. We had an 8 point lead on AU late in the game and lost...a 21 point lead in the 1st half in Knoxville and lost. Two very bad losses to two very bad teams. Will cost us down the road.

I think Tennessee CAN be a good team. I think auburn CAN be a good team. But that's not my point.

The SEC gets excessively bashed moreso than any league on the planet. It's not warranted.

They may not be good teams most nights, but they were certainly pretty good on those nights. Just because you have a bad record doesn't mean you can't play well a few games a year. I don't think it's going to cost as much as people think. Teams are losing left and right all over the top 25. The only steady team right now is OU. They will probably be the overall no. 1.

Well, it's going to cost us next week when we fall out of the Top 25 completely. This is the time of year when you need to be moving up the rankings instead of down and out.
It will also cost us if we miss out on one of the top 4 seeds in the SEC Tourney. If that happens we will be playing on Thursday, meaning we would have to win 3 games in 3 days to get to the Finals.
And finally, those two in-conference bad losses coupled with a loss against OSU will definitely hurt our seeding in the NCAA Tourney. Take away those three losses and UK is still a Top 10 team that can afford a couple of late season losses and not see our seed hurt too badly. As it is now, that 'buffer' no longer exists.

Like it helped SMU being in the top 25 a couple of years ago?

The Auburn and UT teams we saw aren't as bad as they are at other times,I'm not going all Superbowl here, but they do not play that kind of game on a regular basis. If UT shoots 34 free throws in a game they are going to beat most everyone in the SEC If Auburn hits 12 3's they are going to win several games.

SEC teams try to beat each other up,during OOC games several SEC teams are caught up in bowl game prep and they just don't care about playing mid major U,if they get beat it is no big deal.

We lost to 2 teams that should not beat us given the leads we had,we just don't have the mindset on this team that says 'you aren't going to beat us because I won't let you. It is not important enough to enough people on the team.

As long as we win out at home and two out of four on the road we are in good shape. As of now the way A&M and USC are playing there is a good chance we might take those games as well.

Vandy has to win out to get in...way way too many loses

Absolutely ignorant take.

We need to go 6-3 to get in, maybe 7-2.

Don't feel bad though, a lot of people who don't keep up with this stuff would make this mistake.

The consensus on Vandy was "next four out" before tonight. They aren't in terrible shape.

Oh I totally agree. We lose 4-5 more, we will have to win the sec tourney to get in.

I don't think anything I said indicated we are locked up.

Looks like UK could just hold home court and still get a 6 seed.
