England is demanding that Apple add a back door for their law enforcement to be able to access people’s iCloud accounts. The end result of this is that any government in the world will be able to subpoena your “secure” personal data and request it from England. It also provides a juicy target for hackers as you’re building in a vulnerability. Seems like total BS but wanted to see if anyone here had thoughts on the issue.

Apple will politely direct them to the nearest beach where they can pound sand all day.

The whole thing is crazy. A secret court and a secret order to view everyone's data worldwide. Nuts. I think that tiny island greatly overestimates their standing in the world.

Apple has already declined and has said they will likely reduce their security services in GB. That won't satisfy the order but it does put the ball back in GBs court.

This is how a strong, freedom loving American leader talks to authoritarian leftist Europeans.

Just listened to the entire speech. It’s funny to see the knee jerk response from the left calling it racist (of course). If anything he’s spelling out for the left how to win, they’re just too dumb to listen. Because they think politics is about them convincing you they’re right, rather than listening to what you tell them you need.
