They are living that 6-6 SEC dream, beating a 7-5 ACC team!
They flipped a roster in 1 year. 50 new players and they passed us.
I can still hear Whalen screamingHonestly is a meaningless bowl game all we can ever hope for? With the new playoff system I would have no interest in watching Cats in a Music City Bowl. Last Bowl game I attended was Cats losing to Syracuse about 25 years ago.
Me too. They had no answer for him before he got injured.I can still hear Whalen screaming
Ppl need to realize how brutal our schedule was.
Talent acquisition has never been a problem for this staff. Coaching them up is the issue. This fluidity is across the board: TCU made the Championship game with tons of transfers, and both IU and Iowa State won double-digit games for the first time in over 120 years of football (for each) in the same season: 2024.
The lesson is clear: score Top 10/20 transfer classes and HS classes!!
We are Ohhhh, sooo close on the HS rankings, and look even better on transfers.
Tough schedule, yes. But we didn't play Missouri this year.I’ll take making a bowl game next season given we play the same schedule.
Ppl need to realize how brutal our schedule was.
Look at the bottom of the league that Texas got to play…or an SMU/Indiana type where they had 0-1 wins against teams that were .500
Then look at ours: 3 playoff teams—Texas, UGA, Tennessee….1st 3 out teams: Olemiss, SouthCarolina…..a top 25 Mizzou(9-3)….and then a post DJ Lagway led Florida that finished extremely strong to make a bowl, a bowl team in Vandy, and a bowl team in UL.
A&M is the only SEC bowl loss headscratcher. Oklahoma was down several top players and still should have beat Navy, but with their 10 starters or so, they win going away. USC was NOT good, A&M blowing the three score lead was most definitely a WTF thought for me.Then check out the bowl results. So far, a 6-6 Vandy took down a 7-5 Georgia Tech. A 6-6 Hog team is dismantling an 8-4 Texas Tech in every phase of the game.
