Did I miss something. Or is Vandagriff still on the team? Has he announced anything and I missed it? I know Stoops said he would let him tell everyone what his plans are. Unless I've missed something, what is he waiting on?

His dad, who isnt very well liked for running up scores on weak teams, took one on the chin in getting beat for state championship this week. And in interview was whining about having an injury that cost him the game. He has a great program and was going for a three peet.

Our pathetic OL nearly got him killed and I guess he's saying No Mas.

I'm guessing we probably ruined his shoulder for football.
It's been reported that the concussion is driving this decision. SHoulders heal. Brains don't.

Was this his first concussion ? If so, to retire after A concussion is a little odd. Tua for the Dolphins suffered several just in the last couple years, he toughed it out. I do not know the severity of BV's injuries, so I will not speak on his toughness or willing to play after injuries.

You can say Tua “toughed it out”, but I say he’s a complete idiot who doesn’t value his life outside of football. The effects of CTE don’t manifest for several years. I’d bet you any amount of $ that Tua will wind up a walking vegetable. And I don’t intend any humor in that. It’s sad, and f***ed up. The people in his life have failed him.

Vandagriff is retiring? Can't say I saw that coming, but it never seemed like it bothered him not playing much either. Sure he has been playing a long time, burn out is real.

Against Murray BV badly underthrew 2 open receivers by 20 yards. A healthy college QB doesn't do that, he seemed to clearly have something going on with his shoulder.

Here's the thing that pisses me off. I get it that some dislike Stoops and want him gone. I get it that BV didn't produce at the level UK needed to be successful. But the snide/snarky remarks directed at both in this situation is bullshit. The ire of the UK fan base needs to be directed at TN and their head hunting bounty hunting play that seems to be condoned by a corrupt SEC office. The hits allowed on BV by TN was criminal, if you want to be pissed at somebody be pissed at TN/SEC office. You can still be pissed at Stoops if you wish.

I think BV is a good guy, I was glad he was going to get an opportunity to play when he moved on from UGA. But I was a little nervous for him because of the expectations being placed on him because he was a former 5* from UGA. Unfortunately those expectations weren't met and like everywhere the backup QB became everyone's favorite player.

As for CMS you know i have been a long time supporter of him. CMS has been very good for UK's football program both on and off tbe field. But sometimes things just go stale for no one reason or another and a change might be the best thing. Jon Sumrall is the the overwhelming fan favorite with good reason, his resume is fantastic. He will inherit a team in far better shape and much better facilities than CMS did. But the SEC wasn't the meat grinder when CMS took over like it is today. There has probably been 30 head coachings since CMS. Several programs have made big upgrades. Expectations will be high for him, and should be, but there are no easy wins in the SEC any longer.
