UT proves cheating is ok.

They and every other school but us. Literally noone cares. The NCAA intends to hire one person, yes one, to investigate these and they already said they won't be requesting the actual agreements. That is telling you, all but expressly, they don't care.

UL literally cheated while on probation by trying to outright buy a player. Even recorded by the FBI, including the unforgettable line "we can't get caught doing this because we're already on probation". They got no real punishment.

In another post I likened it to driving 55 at rush hour but not even that covers it. It's like waiting at the corner of an empty street for the sign to say "walk" because you don't want to jaywalk.
Thank you, you guys are finally admitting that you want to blatantly cheat like other programs instead of making up BS about UK not supporting NIL. UK supports NIL, UK doesn't support blatantly breaking rules like the dirty programs yall love propping up.

Either you are Mitch himself, an employee of the athletic department, or a troll. There are no other options.

There’s not any cheating when the ncaa got forced to say NIL was ok and they couldn’t restrict student earnings. None of us know what goes on with schools, recruits and collectives. We all have speculation and figure they probably aren’t going by the rules. We all also think the NCAA is toothless at this point. Kentucky and the rest of the schools need to get on board and conform to what we have now or they get left behind. I like a competitive balance and with the format we had that hadn’t been in years plus I think students should be able to profit off of theirselves and it shouldn’t be just universities making money off of them. Yes I know the scholarship is payment but schools make millions off these kids so why shouldn’t kids get some of what they brought in?

Lol maybe that is who offered him the money. That’s still an alleged amount but I’d bet it’s close to accurate. He’s never said to my knowledge what endorsements he has to do to get that money. Every school nearly has a collective on the side doing this stuff now. Even Saban got up and said his team needed that too to his boosters. He was vague and a lot of alluding but he was talking about it. It’s an arms race at this point. Kentucky needs to do it too and I get the frustration with your ad and university if they seem to not to want any part of it. They are gonna have to or they will harm your athletics greatly. This is the reality we live in today. Honestly I am for nil and athletes being able to capitalize off of it (I know most Kentucky fans will say it’s because it’s benefiting my team and that is partially it but not all of it). Other schools have been doing their stuff behind the scenes for years and years to get players like Tua’s family loving to Tuscaloosa from Hawaii of all places and on and on. College football had become a 4 or 5 team championship and it was ruining football when those teams could stack 5 stars 4 deep or more at every position and were just dominating everyone else. This stops some of that. Those schools were getting away with way more than everyone else. The NCAA had turned a blind eye to bama, Ohio state, clemson and many more. In 4-5 years or so a lot of this will balance out and if a school chooses to embrace it and go with it they can have a legit shot at competing again with the top schools. Football is better when any school can win every Saturday. It flat out sucks going into every season knowing bama and Georgia already have the sec wrapped up and the rest of us don’t matter. It dukes knowing the playoff 4 before season even kicked off. Hopefully nil makes it much more balanced because as a fan I was done watching anything other than my team and even that was hard to do with much more than casualness because I knew we had no chance anymore. I want Kentucky and Arkansas and South Carolina and all the schools in the sec to be able to compete and make it enjoyable and exciting to watch their teams play and know they have a real chance to win any game
Actually a pretty good post.... but I'm sorry to be the grammar police but I have to say that paragraphs are your friend when making a lengthy post.

It’s ok. Typing fast at work on a phone. I’ll take the grammar criticism. My main point was NIL is here. It can benefit teams that are not traditional powers to catch up to teams like bama and Ohio state. The portal can do the same. Parity makes college football much more enjoyable when your team has a prayer of winning against the big boys. Kentucky and everyone other team who haven’t won the sec in many years can use these tools to their advantage so instead of hating on them embrace them.

I agree plus I'm ready to do WHATEVER IT TAKES to win and to win big. Cheat, cheat, cheat...UNC, Kansas, et al have proven cheating pays so it's time UK cheats like hell.

I can’t disagree with that really. I’m not crazy about the whole outright cheating but I know what it’s like to starve as a fan for winning. I think it’s all a freaking joke anyway. Every big time athlete at a major university has received some form of illegal compensation somehow. That’s my opinion. It was wrong for universities to make millions and millions off of players and not give them anything more than school paid for from it. NIL just made it legal for kids at schools to get it without having to hide it and we all know there were 4 or 5 schools around the country allowed to be extra dirty about that more so than others. Lots here will say Tennessee and I’m sure we did our fair share like everyone else but if you wanna know who was the worst about it look at the ones who have been on top for year after year and cried the most about nil ruining college sports. They don’t care about that but they do care about losing their huge advantage they had. It’s not about education or students. It’s about money and winning. Period. Just like I don’t think some of the lauded “great” coaches are better than others. Almost none of these coaches got to this level by being average or not as good coaches. Put simply I don’t think Saban teaches or coaches anything mark stoops or any other major d coach doesn’t know. He just had better players. NIL evens that up I think.

There is no cheating any more. Bill Self got same punishment Chris Rodriguez did, lol.

Hey, remember that time Kentucky almost got the death penalty over an alleged $1,000 that never even materialized as real?

Gets obvious at some point when you see the players parking lot at the practice faculty of schools and kids from poor areas that grew up with very little are all driving brand new dodge chargers and putting pics of them holding stacks of money and all kinds of other pics. I mean let’s get real. What is in Columbus or Tuscaloosa or at Clemson or at some of these other schools that’s drawing kids in? Doubt it’s “the family atmosphere” they are building there.

Can we please move on from Tennessee... they are coming out of this clean ... good gawsh the Orange Depraved Syndrome runs high on this board.

Kansas won a national championship in basketball and was caught on tape cheating. They self imposed a four game suspension for the coach that was caught cheating. The NCAA is toothless at this point. UK is the only program I know that self imposes crippling sanctions against themselves.
October 13, 2017 all their teeth fell out when the biggest cheaters of all time led by the fraud of the biggest fraud were allowed to walk. The day the NCAA died.

I did not read all of this, (really do not care about the vol lurkers that would defend the actions).
Eventually doing wrong and defending wrong catches up, always looks good for a season but karma finds it way.

Season is yet to be fully written so lets see how it plays out.

I would imagine that the guilty parties, Pruitt and the assistants involved, will be punished for their actions by receiving 'show causes' for x number of years, as they should

Cmon, TN not knowing about this or at least not having institutional control is something that will be attoned. Add in the rape cases that was pushed under the rug amongst other things and it is very clear this program (fans included) will do whatever it takes to win. Also, GO BACK TO YOUR BOARD.

NCAA said there was no lack of institutional control. Also, AJ Johnson and his roommate were not guilty of rape. The girls lied. That is known. What are the odds of both accusers 'losing' their phones when the defense attorneys subpoened the phones?

Also, this is a public free board. I will visit unless the board mods tell me I can't. But if seeing my posts triggers you I guess you can hit the ignore button

To be fair...>NCAA is the one admitting cheating is OK. Tennessee is just the program that got away with it...and even though we are in a NIL world....skirting rules will get worse and worse.

Just go back to your own board, like why are you here? Is your cousin/wife not talking to you? There are plenty of TN rednecks on forums you can talk to. I just cannot ever see my self going to another board to discuss sports. You trying to beat your chest (it's not 1998 and that was a backup qb anyways)? I mean no likes TN here, it is the dirtiest program of all time. The fact you come over here to defend it so much kinda proves the point.

R O F L, I looked at your history of messages. Dude you have got some issues.
TN fan that lives on a Kentucky forum. This has to be the saddest thing I have seen in a long time.
I hate to ignore you because every post I read from this point will just make me chuckle. Seeing you here just confirms everything I feel about this program is right. Sad little man is sad.

I mean no likes TN here,
I wouldn't expect you to like UT. I don't like UK. We are fans of 2 programs within the same division of the same conference, competing against each other, as well as other programs, to get to the top.

Ok, I'll bite. Explain to me how me defending UT against your accusations "proves" UT is dirty?

AJ Johson and Michael Williams were acquitted in 2018 by a jury that included 7 women, so the jury, including those women, certainly felt the accuser's charges were baseless.

Oh no. What a terrible thing to chat on other teams' messageboards.

I visit other team's messageboards as well. Some fans like to engage respectfully and discuss football, but there are always some that are too insecure to do so, such as yourself. Again, if I bother you, ignore me

Dude, you are living on our forums. Like a Democrat living in trumps house obsessed of some sort.
Over 200 messages here and I barely see any on other forums. Like a girl crush thats not interested telling you to stay away yet you just can't. I live here so I understand the obsession a bit, it's like everything that happens to Kentucky they flood my phone or come running in the office. But when Georgia or Bama beats the breaks off you or us the year before last they scatter like rats.

And to the allegations every fan here in TN is just like you, they shrug it off as no big deal. And when big news hits it goes under the rug so fast it makes your head spin. We had our years of shame but can at least admit it and took a post season ban. BUT 15 lvl 1 violations and rape charges, safety beating a guy that came in house drunk uknowningly and nothing. So much money being thrown at these issues for cover ups.
If TN wins the championship this year then maybe it was all justified. But if they lose in a heartbreaker my finger will easily point at karma.

If you are going to post this much on a KY forum you might as well become a KY fan. Why not? At least you will get a decent color and mascot.

200 posts over a roughly 3 year period is not really that much. I post here in spurts, as I do other boards.

Well, this is interesting. You fuss at me for visiting this board while now admitting Yyou yourself visit other boards.
We had our years of shame but can at least admit it and took a post season ban. BUT 15 lvl 1 violations and rape charges,
No one is denying the allegations. But times have changed and appears now the NCAA will look to punish those who committed the violations rather than punishing the school and the players who had nothing to do with the violations, as long as there is no evidence the school was involved. As far as the rape charges, again, the players were acquitted by a jury, so there's that.

LOL. Mccullough might be guilty, he might not. That will be determined jn court. All you have is the accuser's side of the story. McCullough says different.
