i'll be your huckleberry. seen your huckleberry hound coach lately? looks like judy dench. he can't take much more without resolution and imho that's why he's been whining to the press. he wants to coach with out interruptions, but he is being interrupted by the national media and on the recruiting trail. he admits this and that something did happen, because he said he wasn't involved in what it was. so it did happen whether he takes blame or not. and we know damn well he knew about it at the very least. same as squirtino. am serious. will bet you $100 dollars. i could lose but i'm betting your coach can't take another offseason of this.

let me add i wouldn't do it unless i thought it had a good chance of happening. he certainly doesn't want to leave with this going on. but does he want to be here and beyond when he finally gets a resolution? he's smart enough he knows where it's going. he can leave before the investigation is complete and blame it on ghosts and other third parties - hurting his ability to coach with a clean psyche as a program and on an even playing field as other bluebloods. because the cloud hasn't left since the report came out, and all the media reference it. and it's not going anywhere until the ncaa or unc itself has a final proclamation on the matter. he has his excuse, but does he want to retire? on that i could be wrong. who knows. my guess yeah he's gone for personal reasons of cough cough principle, and clear wear on his body and mind.

From the standpoint of the things that Roy says I don't really know what camp to put him in.Maybe he is the down home country version of Pitino(think grade scandal instead of sex scandal) Maybe he is as dumb as he makes out to be(don't really believe that is the case) or maybe he has run out of things to say to defend the position that UNC currently finds itself.

if roy doesn't admit anything and the investigation shows no new evidence of his direct involvement, would he stay even if unc gets probation for lack of institutional control? i would guess no because his name would be tied to it regardless. maybe he loves unc so much he would want to stay as long as he knows what he's deeling with. i'm guessing unc wouldn't want him there at that point. dean passed away, so that makes roy and matt the scapegoats. right now no verdict and he doesn't know what he's deeling with - where the negative vibes are coming from. no coach or person could take that too long is my guess. he needs a verdict now to shut everyone now.

i actually like where they are too. at some point the cloud is going to leave if a verdict comes in and they might get going again with the right hire. it's kind of like ul and squirts. they're just made for each other. roy won't say anything and unc won't do anything.
