Underhanded free throw

When you grow to 7 foot tall with 17 inch hands maybe you could answer that question..

It is obviously a reasonable excuse but Yao Ming hit 83% for his career.

Other than Durant who shoots about 90%, these guys are all over 6'10:
  1. Dirk Nowitzki, .8782
  2. Jack Sikma, .8494
  3. Mike Gminski, .8431
  4. Bill Laimbeer, .8368
  5. Keith Van Horn, .8346
  6. Yao Ming, .8328
  7. Andrea Bargnani, .8243
  8. Christian Laettner, .8205
  9. Kevin Love, .8147
  10. Tom Chambers, .8075

The FT is shot with the fingers and finger tips, if players are putting 17 inches on the ball then they just were not coached well.

I call BS, at least on the last part. Why would teammates scream and jump and wave to distract you.....when a poor result means extra laps for them? Hmmmmm
Because coach told us to. If you didn't yell at the shooter you ran more laps for that.

He was also responsible for me not smoking. During the summer between my Jr. And Sr. Year I took up smoking to show how cool I was . Coach found out. I was to be the starting one guard on the old pattern offense. After the first practice when you're always about to die coach said every one could leave except me and told me to start running. I ran and ran and ran. When I could not go anymore and was puking he simply came over and said
"You think you're a real cool guy. You think I have to start you. You're letting your teammates down . If you smoke another cigarette you're off this team. " with that he turned and walked away. Never did tell me to quit running . I haven't smoked since.

BTW I did start and did my job of setting the talented guys up. The other guard and a forward off of our team got four year rides to Notre Dame and Auburn.

That's a pretty talented team, who were these guys?
