UNC sucks

Guess we can start the conversation of whos the next coach of UNC? Likely to cut loose of Davis after next season. Blue Blood job opening soon and I don't see Nate Oats leaving Bama when they are rolling along.

If they can him, they need to catch heat just like we did when Tubby and Cal quit. Apparently we were supposed to be fine with mediocrity, but unc can sh*tcan one of their own and it's cool.

AMEN BROTHER!!! And Hubert has a more recent final four than Tubby or Cal did. Maybe Bubba Cunningham (yes, the UNC AD is named “Bubba”… you can’t make this sh*t up…) can comment on it. I’ll be waiting.

I dunno. He maybe gone after this season. Two NITs at UNC in four years? Put us in their shoes. Say we got rid of Cal four years ago. And this is Pope's fourth season. Same results. Would we be keeping him?

Yeah for sure I said all along that Clemson loss wasn’t bad, still should have pulled it out but they have proven to be tough at home. Carolina isn’t even competing most games though.
Some idiot in here called them garbage when they beat us

I believe that is the thread you are thinking of.

Clemson was an E8 team last year with a legit FF chance. Meanwhile we were sitting on our couch wondering what the hell was next. Clemson is a solid team.

A couple short years ago I would have been willing to bet good money that Hubert Davis would have been more successful in replacement of Roy than Jon Scheyer in replacement of Kyrsewwskiiii.

Scheyer has had the good fortune of playing in a weak ACC the last 2 years so his overall record isn't indicitive of what he has done there. If he was coaching there a few years back when Virginia, UNC, Louisville, Miami and a couple of other schools were ACC title contenders he wouldn't look as good as he does currently.

Bubba has been there quite a while now. I forgot about him.
IDK, we're about to see just how much weight that FF carries. This season was lost when Hubert failed to bring in at least one good big man.
If you can't win games in this weak ass ACC, with those guards and wings, you're just not a good coach.

The ACC mouthpieces at espn will still argue how they should get into the NCAAT.

They're Idiots

University of North Carolina Tarheels Report Card

Overall Record: 14-11
NET Rank: 51
Kenpom Rank: 47
Record at Home: 9-2
Record at Neutral: 2-3
Record on Road: 3-6
Wins Above Bubble: 48 (This is AWFUL)
Record of Q1 Games; 1-10 (WOOOOOOOF)
Record of Q2 Games: 5-0
Record of Q3 Games: 3-1
Record of Q4: 5-0

That's the very definition of a bubble team. The ONLY thing saving them, is their SOS. They rank 10th there.

How can that be one might ask? The ACC is AWFUL! Yes, but their NCSOS is ranked 6th. A lot of those loses are Q1 games.

Basically, UNC doesn't really have many bad loses minus 1. But they don't have any really good wins. Minus 1. They are mediocre at best.

So, do you let them in because they played a very hard schedule? And it's UNC? Or do you send them packing because, well, they've not beat anyone.

That Q1 record of 1-10 says it all. That's not just bad, that's 25-day-old Tuna Fish bad.

Mediocre blue bloods get in. It moves the needle. We've all gotten the benefit of the doubt before. Only thing better, for interest and money, than a blue blood playing a tournament game, is a blue blood getting a first round exit from an small school. A mediocre blue blood getting in is a win/win for the NCAA tournament.

Just as Cal use to say you don't have to make them all but you can't miss them all when referring to 3's the same applies to playing tough games....you don't have to win them all but you can't lose them all and UNC has pretty much lost them all.

I'm confused ... Is this UNC*** or UNC ?

UNC*** for me.

Now that is established.....

Of course they suck. Indiana sucks even harder, for much longer. Can we just go ahead and have UNC*** take the next 40 years off? Fine by me. Let them die a slow long lingering death. I enjoy lapping up the Tar Heels fans tears after every loss towards that cesspool of irrelevance they belong to. If I had a diploma from UNC***, I'd have long since thrown it into the ocean. Worthless.

... but I'm stopping ***JUST*** short of another rant .... ;)

carry on !

Go Big Blue !

Same as Cal having the good fortune of playing in a weak SEC his first 12 years right?
