@BostonCat2001 if you'd like to place a wager that Ulis shoots a higher % from 3 his sophomore year than did Aaron Harrison ... I'm game.
We've played 4 games.
We've played 4 games.
Why the apparent disdain for our best player?
I get that we aren't shooting the ball well, but he's playing a lot of minutes, running our O, and getting after it defensively. Not to mention he's had his best offensive outputs of his career the past two nights.
Please remember that our interior game was so strong last year that opposing defenses would pack the paint. They would also double and triple team KAT. That gave our guards a lot of open looks. So far this year that hasn't been true.
kids a stud and has been great. i repeat....great.
but we have had very good players in the past that did other things well too but didnt shoot the three well that got ripped to shreds by many many fans.
He's taken 14 shots and a few of those have been beat-the-shot-clock throw-ups. Way too early to worry about anything--except poor reboundingAnybody else kinda worried about Tyler's 3pt shot? He was off tonight and he was off the last few games also. Of course he played great in every other department but he was such a good outside shooter last year that its worrisome to see him miss like he has recently.
He is not impossible to guard. But he is impossible for some players to guard. Ulis is a gifted player, blessed with quickness, great hands, and a huge motor. But like all players, Ulis has limitations. Before this season is over, Kentucky will have to win games in which Ulis will be checked by bigger players who are just as fast and just as determined as he is. That's when we will find out what Murray and Briscoe are made of.Tyler is money from the mid-range pull-up, a lost art, which makes him impossible to guard
