Wow, and Jurich will do nothing about it nor will the CJ even mention this.

LOUISVILLE, Ky (WHAS11) -- A University of Louisville football player was arrested over the weekend after police were called to a report of a fight.

Terrence Ross, a UofL freshman football player , was arrested just after midnight Sunday.

Police said Ross was involved in an altercation at a bar and grill on the 1100 block of South Third Street near campus.

According to reports, Ross allegedly struck an officer in the face during his arrest.

After his arrest, Ross was questioned during booking and police said at that time he "produced a bundle of marijuana from his underwear."

Ross is charged with assault of an officer, disorderly conduct and possession of marijuana.

Our players poop ice cream and theirs crap bags of dope. Seems about right.

Let's guess the UL responses:

- The cop was racist
- Calimari is still slime
- UK football still sucks
- And of course, "at least he's not Tubman"

Tom Jurich should be charged with Criminal Syndicate for cultivating such a criminal enterprise in that cess pool of a city.

I'm sure Al Sharpton will show up to point out that the cop recklessly threw his face in the path of the player's fist.

Ross was at the club which was holding a college night. Ordered a drink Told the bar tender/owner he should give him the drink for free, because he was a UL football player. Owner says we don't do that. Ross got drink and walked off. Owner came over to him for payment. Ross peppers the guy. Owner decides to shut down party and close doors. Ross, who was supposedly thrown out earlier is still there in another fight. Gets sent outside again and ends up "hitting" a police officer in the head. Arrested. Assault of a police officer. Disorderly conduct and possession of marijuana. WLKY story.

Word is he will be name team captain after spring practice

He will be the Captain of the team next year GO CARDS!!!!!!

Aw come on guys, he's just a kid, so what if he is 6' 1" and 200# and has been hitting the weights for years, surely he didn't think he could hurt the cop did he. Besides, he has only been in jurich's reclamation project for a couple of years, and BP has only been there a year or so, this time next year BP will have him at home studying for his nuclear physics class instead of out on the town, how else can he earn his $500,000 bonus?

If he didn't draw blood from the cop, forget the Captain title, he doesn't deserve it.

probably a little trouble here for the owner as well. If ross was a freshman and was served, I highly doubt he was 21.

He will transfer to JCC so he can transfer back into UofL as another reject who comes into honest Bobs program.

He is lucky a group of cops didn't wear his arse out when they got him out of public view. Cops beat the crap out of people for far less. I don't care who he is. Any judge will show no mercy to someone who hit a cop.

Honestly, yes. We live in this state too.
Hopefully he was replying to the sarcastic post just above his.

I am not going to defend Ross because it is bad enough to have to pot but to hit the cop makes make's him a dumbass but you guys are still living in a glass house throwing stones acting like UL is the only school where players get arrested and there is more arrests when Petrino is coach which is not true.

Since Petrino arrived in Louisville the football players arrested score is

Stoops & Kentucky 5

Petrino & UL 2

The sad fact is football players at many major schools including both UL and UK and even Vandy seem to find trouble or at least when they do it is all over the news.

UK fans don't have to say anything about Petrino. We can just read the stuff YOU PEOPLE said about him when he left you high and dry for the Falcons (LOL).

Anyway, as for the arrest stuff, it happens everywhere. U of L does have a reputation of taking in kids in need of a "second chance", but there's no rule against it. Just like there's no rule about not hiring a football coach who pretty much flipped you off on his way out years ago AND was fired from his previous big time gig for ethical concerns. The man can coach though (I was hoping UK would hire him when Joker was fired).

One thing about Jurich...if a person can help him win, he'll give them a shot. Doesn't really seem to matter what they've done in the past. And honestly, I have no problem with it. Jurich understands what some people don't...people forget. Hire Petrino even after he humiliated you and your school? No sweat. There will be initial criticism, but it will go away. Retain a basketball coach who displayed horrid judgment then compounded it with even worse behavior that resulted in the school being humiliated? No sweat. People will forget. And Jurich is right about that.

GBB!!!

Their fans don't seem to have a problem forgetting anything bad, but I sure do.

And I usually love your posts and football knowledge, but I was violently opposed to BP coming here, for one thing he wouldn't have solved our biggest problem, recruiting, and I wouldn't want to sell my soul to win with him if he could.

Nice link just above, makes his actions much more reprehensible, punched the owner (much smaller guy, naturally, on film, came back after the party was over and was in another fight, etc), all in all another UL football player that thinks he is the greatest.

Tell us the last UK player that robbed a store with a gun or hit a cop. How about the two ul football players who beat a ul player so bad he had to be hospitalized? It's called having thugs and it a shame that you do t realize it but you are a ul fan so it's self explanatory.

He is a redshirt freshman. That makes him what, 19 or 20? That is underage. What is he doing getting alcohol if he is underage?

Kid needs to pull his 'draws up too

And there it is. We already proved in the other thread on this topic that your little "score" is complete bullshit. Why, because UL arrest are hushed up. Ross was in handcuffs back in November, and not one damn word was reported ANYWHERE about it.

How many other UL football player arrests have occurred over the last 12 months that were hushed up? How much are you willing to wager that the public has complete and full honest disclosure on every UL football player arrested?

Not before some loser comes along and interjects his politics on a sports message board.

I thought this was about a UL thug? Must have missed the part about UK players. I'll read the link again to make sure.

All programs have bad apples for sure. UK does.

However, we can boast that our coaches have not railed skanks on motorcycles or public restaurants, defrauded athletic departments, paid for abortions, or cooerced employees to marry big mouthed whores so they won't talk. You can't do that. You cannot even begin to do that although I am sure you will try.

And if anyone wants to worship at the Jurich altar for dismissing these events, feel free.

And they'll never acknowledge this fact either. They live in their own alternate reality and can literally justify anything.

Like I've said before, that program keeps actively recruiting and inviting criminals into this community. Amazingly, we don't hear much about them getting into trouble in Da Ville despite their prior criminal activity.

UofL homers continue to claim it's because Jurich and Petrino are such disciplinarians when the reality is that they do a great job of keeping their criminal behavior out of the public record.

I think we are being a little harsh here. Its not like he impregnated his 14 year old cousin............
His punishment is no dessert for a week.

Our football players got in trouble for playing with airsoft (less than a bb) guns. Theirs assault bar owners, punch cops, deal drugs and have cheerleaders die of O.D's in their apartments. Most of their stuff is covered up like Ross's first offense and the cheerleader's death having been in a players room (came out months later).

Please tell me you banned him after that post. He's been allowed to flame for far too long.

I think it's time you come clean as a closeted Ville fan. I know you have a stash of flat bills, line beard grooming kit, Crown Royal and use cool nicknames for all of Da Ville's players.

Plus, you're just kranky after the Niners pooped themselves this season.

I know how the football department and athletic department work. I can assure you that this will be investigated and if Ross is found to be in the wrong, he won't be here. If this is a fabricated story, he'll stay. It's that simple.
