translation, if they think Ross can help them win football games, they will believe his story over a cop's story that the UL player punched him and was in possession of drugs. see: Clint Hurtt. But if he can be replaced in the lineup with no difficulty, he will be cut loose.

indeed that fits perfectly with how your football departement and athletic department criminal enterprise works

I have to ask...are you being serious? We're talking about the UL athletic department here...

I am very serious. He will be gone if this is found to be true. As ville 77 said, we don't have too many arrests and this is why. You mess up, you move on.

Re: Do you follow Kentucky?

Nope not at all. I think like most of you replying and many of my friends that I talk to, if it ain't UofL I don't care. I don't watch or keep up with any other teams except for my Cards. In the end, unlike Yewkay fans, I have a life and too many things going on to care about anything other than the Cards. I think that is the difference between the too fan bases. We have lives and don't care about sports while they are consumed with it.

^ Just found this jewel on the UL board while looking for info on Ross. Petjurino spends so much time not following UK that she posts on our boards more than her own. SMH GTFO

That was nothing compared to what his coach did at Arkansas. Show Cause Hurt. Then you have Pitino too. Jurich will have a hard time kicking the kid off the team when he has actually put bigger thugs and law breakers on the company payroll. If they kick the kid out of school I'd have to question if there is a racial bias/angle in play.

LMAO

This is comical.. do you not count arrest prior to attending UofL??

What about the thugs that messed up at Auburn and Georgia and countless other places, where do they end up.I know where several have landed.

Geez, man, this is atrocious behavior, all of it, and it has come out now so it's hard to see how even jurich can cover it up so he can be kept on the team, but why wasn't the first offense reported also?

Oops, my mistake calling you a man, from your previous posts you must either be a kid or seriously retarded. Where have you been, I have missed the laughs although I would bet some of the more rational UL posters were glad you were gone.

So how many other arrests have been covered up? First was the first incident with Polk and now the first arrest of Ross..

The UL fans I know have no problem admitting they run a lawless athletics program.

They honestly could not care less. Results are all that matters to them, just like their AD.

Glad we're not like that.

Jurich hiring Petrino after Petrino gave him a huge middle-finger the first time around is all you need to know. Win first, second and third . . integrity and respect are not necessary.

I am not saying most athletic programs these days run a completely different model but no one can ever deny the entire University cares more about athletics than any single academic program or reputation for integrity.

How many programs in major college history have had two coaches employed at the same time well after they have produced national scandals? Petrino is slime but he wins. Rick is slime but he wins.

Near end of the lesson.

With turtleneck's stranglehold on the media and judicial system in this town ...don't bet on it with the judge, but you can sure as hell bet that this bar owner will probably eventually lose his license and have to close his business

UK fans don't have to say anything about Petrino. We can just read the stuff YOU PEOPLE said about him when he left you high and dry for the Falcons (LOL).

Anyway, as for the arrest stuff, it happens everywhere. U of L does have a reputation of taking in kids in need of a "second chance", but there's no rule against it. Just like there's no rule about not hiring a football coach who pretty much flipped you off on his way out years ago AND was fired from his previous big time gig for ethical concerns. The man can coach though (I was hoping UK would hire him when Joker was fired).

One thing about Jurich...if a person can help him win, he'll give them a shot. Doesn't really seem to matter what they've done in the past. And honestly, I have no problem with it. Jurich understands what some people don't...people forget. Hire Petrino even after he humiliated you and your school? No sweat. There will be initial criticism, but it will go away. Retain a basketball coach who displayed horrid judgment then compounded it with even worse behavior that resulted in the school being humiliated? No sweat. People will forget. And Jurich is right about that.

GBB!!!
UKE...Agree with you on ALL points except you omitted ,or forget, the shame and embarrassment each coach caused his family and the fact that NONE of the media outlets in Louisville will discuss the topic of either coach... just try

Don't know if you are serious or not, but the bar owner acted pretty responsibly by sending everyone home, IMO, he had already been slugged by the "I are a football star, I don't have to pay" idiot. And he came back in and got into another fight after the party was cancelled.

And according to the report on TV I saw they said he was 21, maybe someone held him back so he would be a better football player, or maybe he was just dumb and took longer.

Enjoy all your inputs though.
Wait, he got into UL didn't he, how could he be dumb?

...turtleneck rules Louisville with an iron fist...From the lawyers and judges to the media...you don't mess with his posse...

My bad, thought that was your meaning, but wanted to point out that he was older (not more mature) than most sophs.

Wasn't this punk supposed to be in court yesterday? Did anyone in the Louisville Press even bother to report the results? Does anyone know what happened?
Thanks in advance.

I tried teasing some of my UofL football fan friends about this, and they didn't even know it happened.

Now, they are ALL ABOUT the football Cards, yet a guy who is supposed to start in their decimated secondary does this, and they don't even know about it.

UL football fan from my experience is among the most shallow and least informed about the team they cheer for and the entire sport in general that I have ever run across. Which is understandable, a large percentage of them took up following their team and the sport during the Johnelle days of the early 2000's.

Kudos to those fans. At least they are willing to admit they are dirty but don't care. Most of the ones I know try and act like they are the gold standard in doing things the "right way".

I don't find that very surprising. Most of the ones the UofL fans I know have no clue what is going on. Half the time they have no idea when or who UofL plays. But boy they have an opinion on UK and why they do everything wrong. Yes, they have their good fans but from my experiences most of them have no clue what is going on in sports or with their own team and the biggest inferiority complex I've ever seen.

This dude had his day in court, any reporter know what happened to the UL player. The Louisville media has a minute by minute updates on UK players that haven't been charged with anything, yet here's a player that had stolen a drink, assaulted a bar owner and punched an officer in the face and has had his 1st court appearance and we get crickets.

Pleads not guilty.

Next court date:

9:00am 2/4/15 Wednesday District Court Room: HJ102

I live in Louisville and have the morning news on while getting ready for work. The UK/EKU fight was one of their top stories and noted no less than 5 times in the 45 mins or so i was within earshot of the TV. I'm guessing every other local news channel and the paper are exactly the same way.

I have enjoyed living in Louisville the last 10 years or so, but one of the things i hate the most about this city is the utter hypocrisy of the local news and how they will cover up/fail to report on anything negative about UL while doing all they can to report negative about UK. The only times they even touch negative stories about UL is when the news is out in the public domain and can't be denied. I simply can't fathom why the news channels in this city cater to Jurich and UL, but it drives me insane.

Love or hate Matt Jones, at least he is one of the few in this city that will call out the media for their blatant biases and isn't afraid to piss off Jurich.

Ok BBN, what's the expression, "don't throw stones if you live in a glass house"! I believe we have enough on our own plate to not be worrying about what some other program is doing!
