Men’s 4x100m Relay Team Posts Program Record, Highlights Final Day in Austin

Men’s 4x100m relay team sets new NCAA-best for 2025 outdoor season

AUSTIN, Texas
– On the final day of competition for the month of March for the 2025 outdoor season, the Kentucky track and field team concluded its three-day meet at the Texas Relays today in Austin, Texas, featuring another school record for the Cats.

After three event wins and five prelim qualifiers headlined yesterday’s events for the Wildcats, the men’s 4x100m relay team added a fourth top-place finish to the weekend’s results following their prelim win on Friday. Today, the relay team consisting of Shavique Bascus, Clinton Muunga, Miles Jones and Carlie Makarawu broke the Kentucky 4x100m record, won the event and set a new NCAA-best with a 38.43 time.

Following their qualification in yesterday’s prelim event, a pair of top seven finishers fell in the women’s 100m hurdles final for the Wildcats with Alexis Glasco taking fifth with a 13.04 time and Emmi Scales placing seventh in a personal-best 13.29.

Three more top 10 performance entries were also added to the Kentucky record books today, featuring freshmen Anthony Waterman (M 110m Hurdles Invite) and Sharmelle Holmes (W 100m Final). Junior Aliyah Adams also joined that list during the evening schedule with a 12.84m mark in the women’s triple jump section A event.

Next up for the Wildcats will be a split weekend next week in Tucson, Ariz. and Palo Alto, Calif. on Apr. 4-5 for the Jim Click Shootout and the Standford Invitational, which will feature as a distance only meet.
