UK vs. UGA 3:30 CBS

CBS 330 - I didn’t think UK had the gravitas to play on that slot, it’s reserved for everybody else

It will interesting to see how we game plan and manage. It is important to get out of there dignity intact playing in that time slot. I think a lot of you might wind up really disappointed in the run/pass ratio.

I grow ever more optimistic about the Georgia game. For these reasons:
  1. Clemson used to be considered a quality win...until we saw how mediocre they actually are. Holding UGA to 10 points? Granted it was the first game in the season, but I am less impressed by that win.
  2. UAB and Vanderbilt are honestly on par with UTC and ULM - granted, UGA won by more impressive margins, but they are Ws over low-quality opponents nonetheless
  3. Our win over Florida (given their performance against #1 Alabama) is just as if not more impressive than their win over Arkansas. Granted, Arky looked promising against TAMU and Texas, but neither of those teams were initially playoff bound.
  4. UGA is tough, and we need to keep our guys focused that it will not be an easy game. Sanford will be absolutely rocking, especially if we come to town 6-0...and yes, I do think we will lose...but
I incrementally feel that we are starting to hit our stride mid-season and that UGA, while vaunted and insanely talented, is not above us hanging with them for a quarter or two, or our D matching up with their O on some key plays.

My main point is...I don't think we win, but I do think more and more that we can hang with the big dawgs for a bit and not be absolutely humiliated.

Let's see....GBB.

With a few exceptions, UK traditionally performs poorly in these CBS games. That's why they've been passed over in past years. I just know UK has a 10 game losing streak to GA and have been pretty much owned in recent years. Needs to change.

I hope the guys come out and prove me wrong but I feel feel Georgia is a cut above the rest this year. I have hope because of our defense but I’ve yet to see any evidence that Levis can put us on his shoulder and win a shootout or generate quick points if needed.

Isnt LSU 2007 the only win we’ve had?

They better not ruin my wedding day. Getting married that morning down in Gatlinburg. Will be partying while the game is on.
Congratulations BBN brother! It’s my 17th wedding anniversary and my wives birthday so we always go to Florida for the week. So we will be traveling that day down to the Sunshine state!

Thanks, It's number two for the both of us. Rented a big ole cabin down outside of Gatlinburg, just a few close family and friends. gonna get up on Saturday have a quick little ceremony at the cabin, then party all day. I'm sure the game will be on in the background somehere, ;) 😁 Congrats to you too and safe travels.

9-18-99 for me. Got married on the Norway cruise ship in Miami and while the fam was eating, some of us watched the UK IU game in the casino before all the passengers boarded. Good thing is my wife loves football too so we haven’t missed any games this time of year!

Fox, Monk was the last year I've watched a UK BB game. After being a BB fanatic for fifty years, had enough of The Cal Show. Won't watch another game as long as he's pretending to be a Coach.

These SEC games take their toll on teams physically. This is about a brutal a stretch as we’ve ever had (Florida, LSU, Georgia, Miss St) my worry is we are beat to shit physically after the Georgia game which I feel like will be a very very tough game to win. I won’t mind a loss as long as we come out healthy enough to play the rest of our schedule.

Games with Tennessee, Vanderbilt, New Mex St, and Louisville hang in the balance afterwards. Important to see how we bounce back this week.

I'll be very interested to see what our passing game looks like this week against LSU. It really needs to be more potent than vs. Florida to get the win against the Tigers.
Looking forward, we really need to show something in the air attack this weekend in order to give Georgia cause to prepare for more than simply a good dose of C Rod.

This idiot got married during football season......but did it on a bye week
Back in 2007, I was in the Sydney Australia airport leaving to come home from my honeymoon and feeding my last Australian coins into an internet machine to get the score updates of the Kentucky-LSU game. I ran out of coins in the 4th quarter and we had to board our plane. I didn’t find out until about 18 hours later that we won. Torture!

Better make frequent trips to the can so you can keep up with the game. A lady’s wedding day is her day, all her’s. You don’t keep your eyes on her all day, you might not get your hands on her that night. Congratulations though, and go for it on fourth down every time. At my age, I punt on second and one.

Respectfully, this sounds like the Arkansas fans last week. Remember, JT Daniels hasn't been healthy yet and we've given up 1 td all year (4th qtr to SC against our 3rd string).
I do think you will be the best team we play in the regular season though. You're going to have to throw the ball and throw it well to keep it close.

I hear you, GADAWG, and completely agree on the passing game....it's hard to imagine we could just turn that on over the next few weeks, though I thought the same about the defense. Time will tell.
