Big insurance run for Cats as Tristan Pompey drives one off the wall in LCF to score Aklinski. UK 8, TTU 4 - B8
Dawson fouls out to first. Funny thing is that UK is struggling a bit against the worst pitcher they've seen today. Squires lines one right to Little in left for out two. Aklinski works ahead 3-0 and takes a four pitch walk. Love that he runs to first.

He the walks and it gets past the catcher and both Pompey and Becker score!!!

Johnson up now. Tons of walks for UK tonight (8). Davis still not hitting his spots but gets ahead 0-2. Johnson goes down swinging to end the 8th. UK up 10-4. Big inning to score two without a hit.
Texas Tech has committed only 1 physical error today, but they have made several mental errors !
Going to the 9th with Ramsey still pitching. Tech going to do some pinch hitting here. Ramsey still struggling to hit his spots and gives up a leadoff walk.
The box score shows only one 1 error for Texas Tech. I've seen a lot more mistakes than that. 4 WP's 2 balks, 5 HBP. We are really tearing into their pitching staff.
Ramsey falls behind 2-0 and the UK infield goes to talk about it and Ramsey comes back with a strike. A second full count of the inning and Ramsey runs it in and hits him.
Tracker is saying Ramsey's velocity is down like 7-8 mph. That's not good.

To the top of the lineup. Ohh lord... Maley gets a tailor made ground ball double play and Becker picks it up but drops it before touching second. He rushed it knowing Holt was running.
Mingione was hoping to get through this one without Haake, saving him for Saturday with a 10-4 lead, but Red Raiders have scored one and loaded the bases in a park that can make this 10-9 in a hurry.
Haake now coming in. This thing should be over. Holt has reached three times and has benefited from errors all three times.
Texas Tech's Michael Davis doubles in two with a line drive to right field corner. It's suddenly UK 10, Texas Tech 7 with tying run coming to the plate.
Haake keeping the ball down but out of the zone on his first two. His third pitch is another low one but he gets a bite and it's fouled past third. 3-1 with everything being low. Full count now and Haake gives up a single right that scores two.
